Florida, hmm Thongs, good fishing, and oh ya,, we can go Python hunting, that's fun, shark attacks? stay out of the water,,,thats what my swimming pools for,,,, black tip sharks are really good to eat. We have more Yankees down here in the winter , then up north. oh ya,, we have all the old retired people down here, lots of nursing homes, ( be careful randy, I'm almost there) Marco island has multi- million dollar homes, boca raton does too. I've been here so long, I cann't afford to get out......... On good note,,,, ya'll come on down, we can go Python hunting,, cann't do that anywere else in the U.S.A Have a great day
  6. Sweet. Put the back bumper in the dirt, two big truck tubes tied to the roof, and about 15 kids in it,, and it will look like us kids using dads wagon to go to the beach,,,those were the days.. We called it the land yacht
  7. I love it, a real car,,,, I still have my 1;1 66 stang, I drove it,, my kids drove it in high school and it still looks like the one your building, awesome....... ( been saying i'll re-do it for about 30 yrs now)
  8. Like to see what you have built in 1/32 scale.. seen to many 1/24, It would be interesting to see what you have built in 1/32. Need some ideas.. Thanks..
  9. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I got steel plates in my back , neck and feet,,,, Oh lord I can tell when the weather chances before it happens , get shots every month, pills every day, still have humor, entered a snail race,, and I lost...
  10. OMG let me get this right,, the hotter it gets ? the colder it gets ? and the ice is melting ? Hmm that means I'm going to get heat stroke, and die of frost bite, if I don't drown first,, that's cool, beats getting cancer, or a heart attack, Sorry,, IN GOD I TRUST
  11. I'm in southwest florida . and its 40's. this is crazy for us,, I need some global warming. Feel sorry for all them north of me, My kids in Ga. said it will back to 17 by Wednesday....
  12. That's funny, I just ask my doctor last month if he could remove half my brain so I could blend in with the rest of the world. I like the stupid people walking around Walmart texting, and run into you,, or setting at a green light texting... I call them button heads, cause without there buttons, there is no world... Duh,
  13. from what I read, the French block were heavier with extre metal in all the right places, and they had 30% more nickel in the casting. its amazing they used them up in the 80's and early 90's. Old flatheads never die. Never used in USA, until france changed over to newer vechiles in the 80's 90'.
  14. OK, I watch the pull on TV all the time,, understand the need for horsepower,, the question is,, why do they run slick tires,, I was always told, if your tires are spinning, your losing traction. When I was working we used a 6000 lb, forklift with 90 hp, and moved 86 thousand pd, semi trailer into the work bays. Tried lookin this up on the puter,, but can't find the answer,, Maybe someone here can shed light on it,,, a 100 hp caterpillar will move that slide any were.. I think ( which gets me in hot water) that more bit, and a granny gear will it easier,,,? theres a u-tube were a 20 hp flywheel tractor was hooked to a 4 engine puller,,and the old flywheel pulled it backwards with no problem,, I'm missing something here, or its a lack of education,, Thank you
  15. Ran across a site about flatheads,, And the French Ford flathead, made only in france, was us in there military up to the mid 80's ( easy to repair and lasted forever) Its 30 pounds heavier, BUT it can be bore to over 334 c.i. Its a far better flathead to build Horsepower out of then the America made one,, Thought it was pretty interesting to read about and know... P.S. some other Fords, my cousins dog groomer gave me... 51-66 consul 4 UK 61-77 Essex V4 UK 62-81 cologne V4 Germany 59-02 Kent UK 67-80 crossflow 83-95 CHT brazil 02-16 ford Australia barra I6 99-current Aston Marlin 6.0L V12 some other fords you don't see or hear about...

  19. You have to keep your model room at 65 degrees, cause you use so much light to see, you almost melt the model, NASA can see the glow from your room, your glasses are a half inch thick, and you have three magifing lenses to see, you try to us your kids telescope to see them some parts, you went to 1/16 scale cause 1/24 is to small to see any more,, or 1/18. you fall asleep in you chair , and have model pieces glued to your chest,, You wear depends cause to can't make it to the bathroom that quick any more..( I use a port a pot chair.).) you accidently super glue your walker to the table,,,, Takes 5 minutes to bend over and pick up the part that fell... you build a Camaro thinking it was the 66 mustang you dreamed about... forget what your building, so you start another model.. Sorry, but most of this is my life story, and I'm sticking to it,,, Tell me your story,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,(( this was not meant to be a exercise or start a fight column ,, I honor them who can,, but in my case, 5 pds of steel plates, screws, and wire holding me together, and a bottle of pills, shuffling is a honor for me,))

  25. Ok, on models, do the wheels have to roll, or can they be glue solid. do you get points taken away if they don't roll, or is it ok for them to not move ? Been wondering this for a spell,,,, If your at a major show, and they don't roll is that bad?? Whats the best way to go??
