Thanks everyone. It’s always nice to get positive feedback on something you have worked hard on. This is easily my favorite build rite now. @ Ricky – the wheels are kit stock from the Revell kit (85-2062). They weren’t my first choice for this build, but they fit the best from what I had on hand suit the overall build. The wheels are a two piece design, so I painted the hubs behind the spokes body color to give them some depth and contrast. Otherwise they wouldn’t look too well. @Phil – If this event wasn’t at the other end of the country, I would so be in! Sounds like a cool show. Look forward to seeing some pics posted. BTW - the brown inseert on the roof, running boards, and acent pieces in the interior is packing tape. Lets keep that our secret!

Nice work-looks great! You would never know that your build was not a mass produced lit. I've been wanting to build this too, but I'm put off by a lack of donor kits. Any suggestions??

Awesome work!! This is one of the best lowrider builds I've seen in a long time. The paint and details are perfect.

Thanks! The old guy is who got me in the hobby as a kid. The crazy idea started in March when I brought him with me to a model show at the Canadian Warplane Museum in Hamilton, Ontario. He said it brought back memories of building his favourite plane - the P-51. Convenient place for the inspiration. Long story short, he wanted to get back into the hobby, but didn't think he could do it with his eyes & arthritis.

I'm pretty sure it's the same one. Don't remember the scale, but for sure it was a Revell kit.
