  1. Looking good, you're in the home stretch now.
  2. Those tires come in that kit, the Revell pro street 67 Chevelle.
  3. The Eliminator package could be had with either the 302 or 428 engine and AMT made both versions and both are correct for a factory option. They put different wheels in each kit and when they used to put the description of what was in the box on the side of the box there wasn't any problem. It looks like somehow they test shot the 428 CJ kit but some time later decided to issue the 302 and just used the box art anyway.
  4. Then put the above described wrapped model in a 1 gallon zipper bag, that way if anything does get loose it will stay with the model.
  5. Typical corporate geniousry. Their parent company was a food wholesaler and somehow didn't see the value in owning restaurants. They decided to concentrate on their core business and sell of the fast food division. Then they were bought by Phillip Morris and merged with Kraft.
  6. Their parent company decided that fast food had peaked in the early eighties and sold the chain to the parent company of Hardee's.
  7. Okay, I have the red 428 CJ kit and the blue Wal-Mart kit in my stash, the blue kit has the square slotted wheels from the yellow kit and the 302 engine with the incorrect 428 Eliminator stripes. The red 428 CJ kit has the Cragar SS style wheels.
  8. What kind of trucks do you like? There are a lot of great choices out there, narrow it down to a few brands so we can help you better.
  9. This is what should happen to that thing [media=] God that is my favorite sound!
  10. The blue Wal-Mart kit has the decals of the 428 version but actually is the 302 version.
  11. That's the one, for some reason the decals come in the #12 but there isn't a Bobby Allison name decal.
  12. $6.50+$2.20 shipping http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bare-Metal-Foil-Chrome-foil-sheet-/350572940548?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item519fc68d04
  13. Your watch kit was scheduled for release this month but it has now been pushed back to the second quarter of 2014.
  14. That doesn't look too bad, it should buff right out.
  15. That is some good positive progress. The paint looks good, the decals are straight, the wheels are lined up with the wheels wells better. When you are a young builder you want to see yourself improving with each build and so far you seem to be doing that. Good job.
  16. You're going to, it goes for about mid forties money.
  17. I'm working on Bobby's 88 Buick and need some advice on paint colors. What color is correct for the body, it's not quite gold but it doesn't really seem to be anything else either. Also, what is the correct engine color? The chassis seems to be a red thats just a touch on the dark side so that shouldn't be much of a problem.
  18. Sliding the trailer wheels forward can somewhat reduce the turning radius of the trailer.
  19. I think the wheels in the yellow kit are supposed to be like 68 GT mustang wheels.
  20. One of the easiest ways to lift a kit is to put spacers where the springs mount to the frame. If the axles are seperate from the springs you can also put spacers between the axle and spring but that is only correct for the rear. If you can post a pic of the kit suspension parts it would be easier to explain.
  21. Are you kidding, that thing is awesome. The resin kit looks like poo poo though.
  22. The kit does get a few things wrong in each version. If you are looking to build a super accurate replica of a specific version I would definitely use outside references to correct the kit mistakes.
  23. Everett made a deal with a promoter last year to bring USA-1 back out and is even building a new, modern, race truck. Maybe the promoter allowed the graphics to be used to further spread the USA-1 name. http://themonsterblog.us/2011/04/22/old-skool-motorsports-making-big-news-usa-1-new-events-daytona/
  24. Here is the Wiki for styrene, it's safe to say there isn't anything good for you in there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Styrene
  25. That looks great, I've been trying to get my hands on one for a while.
