If it's a current issue kit I do my best to get it with a coupon, but if it is something older I will search around until I find the best deal. I support my LHS by buying paint and most other supplies there.

I agree with the posts above, I get about two paint jobs per can unless it's either a large model like a semi truck or the color doesn't cover very well and requires a few more coats then normal. I get a little more out of a can of clear since color coverage isn't an issue, you just want a nice smooth coat.

For that price it should come with a young Asian woman to do my bidding.

Could you use an old style metal axle wheel to mount the tire on and then chuck it in a drill or Dremel tool and use a razor or PE saw to cut the grooves? You would have to make sure the tire turns really true so the grooves don't get too wide.

It's not a high quality scanner but I will send the scan to you when I get it done. I should have the kit by this time next week.

A certain amount of flash is expected but when it completely distorts or webs together small pieces it does discourage me from building a kit.

You can use whatever frame you like or even build your own.

I might try to make my own, I have some ideas I want to try. I scored on a Bigfoot kit like this one with the early decals, I want to scan them in my computer and play with them in photoshop. I will let you know for sure once I try a few things.

Those tires come in that kit, the Revell pro street 67 Chevelle.

The Eliminator package could be had with either the 302 or 428 engine and AMT made both versions and both are correct for a factory option. They put different wheels in each kit and when they used to put the description of what was in the box on the side of the box there wasn't any problem. It looks like somehow they test shot the 428 CJ kit but some time later decided to issue the 302 and just used the box art anyway.

Then put the above described wrapped model in a 1 gallon zipper bag, that way if anything does get loose it will stay with the model.

Okay, I have the red 428 CJ kit and the blue Wal-Mart kit in my stash, the blue kit has the square slotted wheels from the yellow kit and the 302 engine with the incorrect 428 Eliminator stripes. The red 428 CJ kit has the Cragar SS style wheels.
