  1. I thought I seen an article in another model magazine where they used the louvers from the '71 on a build of the new '70? I am thinking it was Tim Boyd, but I could be wrong....two "Cudas were built....copper and a yellow one.
  2. Nice color!!!!
  3. Looks awesome...well done!!!
  4. Dieseldawg142: Watching last nites episode...I had to chuckle after reading your comment about "new Canadians" and chains...the VSA plow truck operator stuck at the snowshed while the "professional" driver attempted to put on the jewelery so that he could get out of the way!! Yup...been there and done that situation on more than one occasion...pretty sad to say that anyone CAN get a license to drive truck....doesn't mean they SHOULD!! Pretty cool to see Jamies step kid helping out on that wreck...hopefully he will continue to go out and get some more experience....he could learn alot from the rest of the crew and become a very good operator!! That flamed Pete tridem was in Merritt for awhile...stationed out of there until they got bought up by Mario's...heard it went east for a bit...that is a cool looking truck, love the tribal flames on it!!!
  5. Seen that...he probably should have waited....Jamie would have showed up and they could have had it up on pavement in no time!! Be interesting to see what the boss thinks about it when he rolls up to the scene.....
  6. Wild colors and big old HEMI motors....throw in a Six Pack or two...how about a nose and a huge wing? Nope...we like to be different...stand out from the crowd and get banned from various competitions!! LOL!
  7. Very nice job on the General......looks like the real thing!!!
  8. Love that color!!!
  9. Nice build!!!
  10. Awesome job!!!
  11. Glad to hear ya got the new ones....if your giving two thumbs up, must be better than what I seen on the weekend!! It is nice when the vendor stands behind their product!!
  12. This finish panel on the back was only available on the Coronet 500 and RT, the base Coronet and Super Bee only had the Dodge lettering and some chrome trim...there was some blackout treatment done that went around the outside of the tail lights, but the center was body color. The Blue `68 that Snake posted shows what I am talking about.
  13. OMG....1968 Coronet/Super Bee...my favorite car out of all of them! I look on the bay all the time to see if there are any originals for sale...but the money the people are asking is HUGE!!! Missed my chance at a Modelhaus....so I will have to find a decent resin to purchase to do a replica of the '68 Coronet I had about 20 years back. Cane from the factory with a hair straight back screaming 225 Slant six, I bought a '69 parts car and swapped complete front suspension, motor, transmission, interior as well as rear end and springs! Ditched the six for a 318....did much better burn outs with a V8!!! I WANT one of these in scale....I have...I dunno....about 10 or so ideas for builds!!
  14. My bad! Only the AAR 'Cuda had the flat black fender and top of the doors, Challenger T/A only had a flat black hood!!
  15. Both the AAR 'Cuda and the Challenger T/A had a flat black hood that also included the tops of the fenders as well as the top of the doors. The model is looking sweet...awesome color choice! Personally I would leave the hood blue with an argent Shaker scoop.....
  16. I was working for VSA highway maintenance out of Merritt from 2006-10 and have plowed the Coq....usually from Merritt to Larson Hill (just above Kingsvale). A few times when the Coldwater crew was busy on the "Smasher", we would get sent to cover Larson to Zopkios, I have seen my fair share of carnage and destruction on that road!! 90% of the vehicles in the ditch were SUV's and 4x4's during the winter months, and I think it would be pretty easy to say that it was all speed related, since you can travel at 110kmh (now 120kmh) at any time of the year! I always enjoyed having to go through an accident scene with a front plow and wing with a car all smashed up and hanging into your lane...caught a few bumpers and sheetmetal with both, not much you can do until the tow trucks get there and clear the scene! One thing I did not look forward to was the ministry opening the highway after a closure...it was really nice to plow and sand an empty highway with no traffic, but as soon as the general public was given the green light.....it was like being in the middle of the pack during Daytona! I have seen JD on the highway travelling, but not doing any recovery or towing jobs, seen Quiring once....nothing but snow and the end of my hood! LOL!
  17. Nice job on both of those!!!
  18. I remember reading in that other mag an article by Tim Boyd about the 1970 'Cuda which included info regarding the rubber bumpers abd which colors they were available with, I can't recall if the choices were a carry-over from '70 to '71? You might want to check out that article, or you can and maybe find info over at Allpar...may take some digging, but if the info is anywhere, I would say you will find it there. Hope that helps.....sorta? Lol.....kinda??
  19. Why do I love MOPAR so much? Simple.......the low numbers, the High Impact paint, and that four letter word that strikes fear in any other manufacturer....HEMI...banned in NASCAR and NHRA for pushing the envelope on engines and bodies.....even to this day...(DEMON!)....nuthing better in my opinion!! One MOPAR tattoo so far....and plans for another...daughter is a huge fan as well (can tell the sound of my straight piped 12v Cummins from a block away!!). MOPAR OR NO CAR!
  20. I watch your build on this....came out looking like the real deal!!!
  21. Ya gotta love any A12! Excellant job!
  22. Nice....really like the work you put into it....looks good!!
  23. Looks like Jamie Davis has some competition...lol....well, if he still had his rotator! Great job, very well done!!
  24. Very well done!! Now you just need a couple more trailers behind it!!
