Thanks again gentlemen!!!

One of the very few non Ford cars I really like. Loved the colors, and the foil work.
-
Thanks guys!!! Yes, it's metallic. Thanks!! For me it's very rare to add detail other than what comes in the box. Still trying not to make a mess with what the kit provides, LOL!!!

Finished this one this morning. After seeing the red '53 go, I decided to build one for me. The color was mixed from Acrilex water based paints to represent Timberline Green. Since the acrylic paint dries flat, I gave the body two coats of automotive two part clear. Mixed a slightly different tone of metallic green for the interior. Foil is home made. Still don't know about the fender skirts. Think I like the car better without them. Also plan on the future, to get a set of wheels with wheel covers for the car, instead of the Pace Car wire wheels included in the kit. 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr

Real nice. A wash on the grille is all it needs.

Good looking car, with a good looking paint. Can't ask for more.

Love this build. Wish it had a engine shot!!

Looks pretty classy.

Not my style (I was born old) but the creativity, and execution are great. The Taurus V6 on the back is for sure unique.

Cool!! Are you building her as a pace car?

Finished this morning. Lindberg kit, reissued by Round 2 under the AMT name brand. The kit goes together as a dream, no fit issues to speak of. The only bad parts are the wheels, that are the Kelsey Haines made for the Pace Car and it's replicas. Those were true wire wheels, and I hate wire wheels. For my taste, a steel wheel and dog dish is the dream look. A full wheel cover is next. NO alloy wheels, or wire wheels, thank you very much. Since I was building a regular Sunliner, had to source the nicer wheels. Thought about making resin copies from the Lindberg Crestline Victoria kit, but ended solving the problem with ease. Just got one of those cheap Welly die cast '53 Fords, and used the tires, and wheels. They are copies of the LIndberg parts anyway, and I didn't have to worry about casting parts. The paint I used is automotive synthetic enamel, for the body, and Revell and Testors acrylics for the rest. Foil is home made. Built both tops, and didn't glue any to the car, so it can be displayed with top up, or down. Hope you like her!! 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr

Thanks!!! Usually, it depends on the car. On this one, the black on the frame is hand painted, the gas tank steel was also hand painted. The engine tangerine paint was airbrushed, but all detail was hand painted. On the interior, the white was airbrushed, then masked to airbrush the red. The semi gloss black was all hand painted, as it was the flat black on the carpeting.

Looks cool!! If you had fun foiling, get the foil and add a little bit to the windshield pillars. They are covered by a stainless steel trim, and no body color shows.

So, I got a few more detailing done on the '53. Got a set of proper wheels with wheel covers from a cheap Welly die cast. Yes, even the tire thread is a direct copy of the Lindberg kit. 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr The wheel donor: 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr On the drp top. I got some more detail paint done on the firewall, on the door panels, and some foil on the dash. 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr Also installed the glass, and gave the body a good rub with wax. 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr There is still more detail paint to do, but i'm close to assemble this beast!! 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr

Thank you!! I could never paint a body with a double action airbrush, and I tried a few, with many different nozzle sizes. Also different brands, like Badger, Paasche, and even one of those crappy Testors Aztec. Never got the same finish as I get with the old and "obsolete" Badger 350.

Thanks man!! I managed to get a set of Victoria wheels and tires from... A Welly die cast!!! The Welly model car, that they say it's in 1/24 scale is for real in 1/25 scale. It was tooled... sorry, copied, from the LIndberg kit!!! Even the tires are the same.

Thanks guys!!
