  1. The car done: Not as accurate as the Revell new tool, but a cool looking replica never the less. 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr
  2. Ok, so Revell/Monogram finally heard my prayers and released a '48 Ford kit, that ACTUALLY CAN BE BUILT STOCK!!!! Bough two, and loved the kit. It has the same great detail level as their '40 Ford Standard kit, and I'm sure It will be a joy to build. I won't be building one this year, as I have more three projects to do: A Monogram 1/12 scale Bel Air for my cousin, a '48 Ford pickup for me, and if all goes OK, I would really love to build a new diorama to take my pictures on. It will be a old Ford dealer. So, as I'm really happy about this new '48 Sedan Coupe Super Deluxe from Revelogram, i'm reposting this old beast!! A 1948 Ford Sedan Coupe Super deluxe, all factory stock, I built last year from the Testors issue of the anciente IMC kit. For it's age, it produces a very cool model. This time I'm posting the WIP pictures along, as I hadn't posted them the first time around. 1948 Ford Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe W.I.P. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe WIP by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe WIP by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1948 Ford Super Deluxe WIP. by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr
  3. Come on Harry, stop posting this kind of car. You are making me really want to build one. And I have the 1/12 Bentley... Never touched it as I just don't have the skill to add the needed detail. Probably will ruin the entire thing if attempt to build, and it cost a pretty penny.
  4. I really loved this one. The color is great. The wire wheels also look quite nice.
  5. Looks like a veteran built model. I would never say it's your second attempt. Great car choice by the way.
  6. Someday Harry will start his mirror making business, so he needs to create a demand
  7. Except by the RHD, it's a perfect copy of mu neighbor's Honda Fit.
  8. It looks nice for sure. The color kind of makes it a little too anonymous, but the build itself is amazing, great paint for a brush. I would never be able to reproduce it. The cars I painted with a brush when I was starting are horrendous monstrosities (still have a black '40 Ford brush painted, and trust me it's not even close to what you did). Also, I always liked this car (really hate the new one that is really not a British car at all). Have the 1:12 scale Tamiya kit and the 1:25 scale Tamiya, both still unbuilt.
  9. LOL!!!!!!! I almost peed myself while reading this. That guy for sure is cheap. I remember the episode where he bought a real deal Cobra body and frame for a pretty low amount. The money was what I have seen people to pay for a fiberglass replica around here...
  10. One shooting for a full stock build will have to get a FE engine and make it to look like the Edsel V8. It's a pity the engine on AMT's '58 Edsel is so small, and out of scale. It would be a perfect choice. I would use the AMT '58 Edsel air cleaner, valve covers, and a FE V8 from a Revell Mustang kit. Scratchbuilding the door panels and sides would also be a must. In general, too much work for my lazy ass, that's why I avoid resin conversions myself.
  11. Very nice build of a very nice car. A Galaxie in disguise!! Or like we say it here, a Galaxie dressed for church.
  12. Nice touch using the AMT valve covers. The plug wires are on a impossible place for a Y-Block tough. They have to get to the spark plugs from below. making them reach the spark plugs like you did will result on the wires melting in contact with the manifold. On a 1:1, of course.
  13. Not in a vault, just garaged, under a car cover, and it's only driven about once a month, when the weather is good. It was the first new car I got with my own money, and I was still in college. Thought I just should preserve her. Those pictures are from 2014. Now, 2016, she has 13250 kilometers on the clock. It's the same stuff with my '82 Galaxie I bought from the first owner back in 1997 with 36560 kilometers from new. Now, 2016 the car has 78000 kms, still has all it's factory paint, vinyl roof, upholstery, and never used spare.
  14. The S-10 kit from AMT needs a lot of work to be turned into a Brazilian S-10. Mine has the 4.3 liter engine, but even tough its a 4X2 truck, it has the torsion bar front suspension. And I suck at modifying bodies... 15. Thanks Gary!! Will make a video with my three '66 Galaxies. Think it will be cool. Thanks Steve!!
  16. That's cool. Always liked this body style. Great color also.
  17. Anyone knows if is it available a model kit of the Isuzu Hombre? I ask, because it was based on the Brazilian built '94-'98 Chevy S-10. I own a '98 S-10 and wanted to build a model of her.
  18. This one I built over the weekend, as I was toying with the idea to build a "day two" Galaxie. Like if someone ordered a 7 Litre with the R-Code engine (dual quad 427) and did some basic mods to make the car sound and handle better than the other big boys in the neighborhood. Stripe delete, a set of Cragars, big'n little bias ply all around, lowered front end for that bad boy looks, glasspacks, and a few Stewart Warner gauges. All reversible mods, so the car is not disrespected and turned into some sort of aberration. like when I do a car that is not 100% stock, i don't care much about taking time to do correct details, it's not perfect, but sure looks like a bow tie eater. Paint is not factory correct, as it's Tamiya Italian red, but it dries fast. Mirrors? With 425hp under the hood, who needs mirrors? 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr
  19. Great idea. Will look if the Comet Grille can be modified into a Galaxie grille. Just have to find the kit.
  20. That's what I think when I see Steven Guthmiller's builds... he is the one that inspired me to try on adding more detail.
  21. This is soooo Cool!!! Both look like little time capsules. I think you did the right thing by not doing full rebuilds on them.
  22. Love it!!
  23. The white stripes were done with white decal paper, cut the thinnest possible, then applied to the body. That alone took me a day. The decal has the tendency of breaking into multiple pieces, due to the fact the stripes are so thin. As a Galaxie lover, and a purist, I really don't like what Leno did to that '66. He modernized the car with parts that didn't exist in 1966, and used lot's of non FoMoCo parts to fit his personal taste. I see no necessity or wisdom on changing what left the factory perfect, like a '66 Galaxie 500 7 Litre, a '32 Ford Model 18 Victoria, or a '57 Fairlane 500 Town Sedan, to use my all time top three cars as examples. By other hand I really like what he did to that blue Duesemberg he found in a garage, inactive for decades. He did the necessary to make the car roadworthy again, but kept things like the factory paint, and upholstery. For me that's the way to go. A car is only original once. I have nothing against restoring cars, but I think it only should be done to cars that are past the preservation point. For me a car that is original unrestored will always be better than even a 100 point resto.
  24. Thank guys!! If you are into, here is the build on video: It's a playlist with 5 videos. Go to the upper left corner to select the videos!!
  25. That's an awesome paint job.
