That's AWESOME!!! I only had built the IMC/Testors coupe, as it was the only one that could be built stock. I feel I'm gonna buy several of those, like I did with the '57 Custom Tudor. Thanks a lot for the info!!

1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Victoria. Class of 1957.

Thanks gentlemen. Now that I have the "brand new" and "really old" versions of the same car, it would be cool to make a post with the two. What do you guys think?? -
WOW, it looks great!! Finally a unbutchered kit of the '48 Sedan Coupe. Does the kit include 100% stock parts? Like engine, suspension, everything needed to build it stock??

Not my kind of treatment on a classic car, but very well executed and with good taste. The Y-Bock is there and that is great. The only detail that could improve the model is reinstalling the hood latch and wiper motor on the firewall, as they are upside down.

it's great to see a stock '32 Ford. Nice color, and added detail on the top. Cutting the yellow pinstripping on the door shut lines will make it to look very realistic.

A certain Southern General. Not a Charger.

'66 Galaxie with a R Code 427, and torque thrust wheels. Blue would be nice, but it's not a high visibility color, like orange. Now, paint it red, let's say Tamiya mica red over a silver base, and now we're talking. -
Awesome. The best looking model I saw here ever. perfect in every sense.

It looks mean for sure. Something Buddy Repperton would drive on it's way to the Libertiville airport.

Great job getting this one done. It looks great... For a mopar

American General, American car. It would be very odd any other way. -

Very cool, and well done. The AMT 1958 Chevy Impala air cleaner is not very Fordy, but it works ok.

Mopar Guys ...DON'T LOOK
Lovefordgalaxie replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Mopar is no car. -
Yes, I know of that brochure. They DID airbrushed a four door sedan to look like a hardtop. On latter brochures a real 4 door hardtop Galaxie 500 LTD was pictured. The resin body is still inaccurate on many places for being a Custom. Not only on the rear door window design, it also has a Galaxie 500 LTD and XL trim on the lower part of the quarter panel. If you really wanted that trim piece it could be easily installed at the dealer, but didn't come from the factory on the car. Also the four point stylized star on the rear quarter was a LTD and XL only piece. When the kits manufacturers make mistakes we mention them. The same has to be done with resin cast parts. I'm on the process of building a four door body from the AMT '66 body to represent my '74 Galaxie: 1974 Ford Galaxie 500 by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr Some brochure pictures of the '65:

Loved it!! Can't beat a black Ford!! Very well done.

I'm honored for being of help!! I only wish the body caster had done a better job. Let me explain: The resin body maker created a car that never existed. There was no Ford Custom four door hardtop in 1965. The only four door hardtop was the Galaxie LTD. And on the LTD, the roof was very different, with round shapes around a smaller rear window. A for door hardtop also has to have a air outlet for the silent-flo ventilation system on the body panel between the trunk lid and roof chrome trim. For 1966, Ford separated the Galaxie and LTD names, creating separate models, so the LTD was no longer called a Galaxie on brochures and sales literature. Also, for 1966 you could get a Galaxie 500 for door hardtop, as the body was no longer a LTD only feature. It looks like the resin body maker was shooting for a Galaxie 500 series, 4 door sedan, and forgot the central pillar. And even tough, they got the roof wrong, with a too vertical rear door window contour. You did a great job with a poorly done body to work with. I think that to get a more accurate model without having to redo the roof, you could just make the central column, and the side window frames. This way the car will be a Galaxie 500 for door sedan.

Thanks guys!! 15 built, about 25 unbuilt... And I'm making resin copies of the Revell 312 V8 to use on future builds of Chevy hot rods. Well, the frame is Revell, from the Custom Tudor kit. I boxed the rails on top. The wheels are AMT, the tires are my own resin cast, the mufflers are scratchbuilt as the Revell mufflers are nothing like the real deal, and the engine is resin cast, as I had used the original from the first time I built this frame on a '51 Chevy hot rod. Thanks Mike! What specific video should I look for?

What makes the new for '57 Fords so great, is among it's many qualities, the inner quality. The new for 1957 Ford has a perimetral frame to protect you and your family. That new frame allows the passengers to sit lower, and low the new '57 Ford is! In fact, there has never being a Ford so low, long and wide. It gives you that solid feel that proves the superior Ford quality. Go see and drive a new for '57 Ford at your favorite Ford dealer today!! And get to drive tomorrows car now! 1957 Ford fairlane 500 Frame by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1957 Ford fairlane 500 Frame by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1957 Ford fairlane 500 Frame by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1957 Ford fairlane 500 Frame by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1957 Ford fairlane 500 Frame by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1957 Ford fairlane 500 Frame by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr

AMT/Ertl '62 Pontiac Catalina Custom
Lovefordgalaxie replied to Bernard Kron's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Looks good! This is a great kit, with lot's of detail, and with no fit issues. Built two of them. One was a rebuild of a kit I got as a built up and the other I built into a General Lee!! Yep, a '62 Catalina painted orange, with a push bar, and General Lee decals... Go figure. -
And AMT even has two different tool roofs for the five window coupe. One, for the Dick Tracy kit, and another for their "regular kit" five window. The top sections of the hood (molded in one piece in the kit) are also different on each version. I was surprised to realize that after building the two versions of the five window.
