Scale I Build

Found 9 results

  1. This is MPC's release of the 'Country' Charger in 1:25th scale. It's basically a direct re-pop of the long running General Lee kit, all the General Lee parts are included and you'll get an optional set of Torq-Thrust wheels and new flag decals with various names and numbers in the same font as the General Lee car. This is molded in all black. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVSucSDHmbA
  2. Hi folks, after completing the '69 Camaro I felt like doing something that should be quick, easy and fun. So I chose this snapkit and indeed it was the right choice. Despite the small number of parts, it builds up pretty nicely IMHO. I did only a few modifications such as: trimming the floor panel/ chassis massively (it's way too big to fit into the body, don't know why they did it like this), replacing the molded-on door handles with separate metal parts, making new exhausts from aluminum tube (bent to the right shape), adding fog light lenses from the parts box and adding PE side markers from CTM on the front and rear end. Painting has been done with ZP Hemi Orange Basecoat and ZP 2k clear. Here it comes, hope you like it:
  3. Built this a few years ago. I ended up displaying it in a mode l shop near where I live. Unfortunately the guy who owned the shop ended up closing, and stole 8 of my models including this one. Today all I have is pictures, but at least I hope its under somebody's glass somewhere.
  4. More pics and text (only spanish), here: http://www.angelnoes.es/2016/02/ford-ranchero-1965-general-lee.html Thanks to all for words, tips and recommending Slixx Decals. This is the best model cars forum!!!!
  5. Hey guys just wanted to show off my model of the Dukes series close up car. I'm a huge Dukes fan so for those who don't know about this car here's some breif history. This General Lee has been traced as far back as the 2nd Season. During the TV series this car was titled "WGL 02". It was a close up car and would have only been used with the actors in the scene and not a stunt car. Nine out of ten times, if the hood was open, this was the car was used for the shot. This car had a black engine bay, smoothed and boxed firewall, chrome hood hinges, chrome upper grille/latch tray, and the engine was dressed up with chrome. Always loved the way this car looked under the hood. Went for the season 3 version specifically. If I ever own a G.L this is how it will look in the engine bay.
  6. This is my build up of the ol' Duke boys getting away from Roscoe P. Coltrane.
  7. I've got the bestest wifey ever. She's into my racing,r/c racing and now into modeling.she has built a few snaptites and wants to do her first full blown build without any help from me haha. She wanted me to make her a w.I.p thread so figures why not. More to come.
  8. Hi everyone. I've just completed my newest build this year. I used an old General Lee kit that I had been given a long time ago. I never thought I would build this but I have to say I had a lot of fun. I can't tell you what year it is but I know that the back window is not like the regular General Lee's that I have seen. Also, I modified the car as I am going against my best friends in a build off! Things that went well include: Paint came out pretty good, my best yet I created the vinyl top using the masking tape (blue tape) method Staggered wheels overall color scheme Well, here it goes.
