Howdy! This year I hope to complete a build off. I’ve built this kit before, but was not pleased with the results. I forgot how poor the instructions are at times. And the parts aren’t very crisp and have heavy flash. BUT, not going to let that stop me. So without further ado… Here is the kit in question. It’s a good challenge. I plan on building the day cab dual drive version. I’ll probably weather the kit but not too heavily. Below I’ll detail what I completed today. Today I only accomplished getting a portion of the frame cleaned up and assembled. Lots of sanding, test fitting, clamping, and filing just to get to this point. But it’s a straight frame at least! Good luck to everyone! I’m excited to see the end results!

This will be built similar to the Boeing Steer Car in the photos below. I have a few pics of a few different Steer Cars. From what I know of them there is no engine or transmission, just electric to run the lights, heat and air and steering. I’m thinking it may have brakes too but not sure. If anyone has other photos please let me know. I’d be interested if you do!! so far I have a Peterbilt frame cut and going back together, don’t jave pics of the cut frame yet but hopefully soon. Started here!!

California Hauler Peterbilt 359
J-Feuerhammer posted a topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Hi all. I'm starting a semi buijld of a California Hauler 359 Peterbilt. I was wondering if anyone has done if of these before and customized it. What I'm trying to accomplish is to stretch the frame and maybe some other mods. I was wondering what to use for the stretch to glue in and what to use for the drive shaft. Also the plate on the top to cover the stretched part. If anyone has done one of these before or has a video or pics I would greatly appreciate the advise and help on how and what to use for this project. -
heres the start.....bought it off of ebay and plan on rebuilding and repainting it going to at some custom touches to it and possibly hook up an amt flatbed or lowboy hauling junk cars and car parts...enjoy

Okay, now I have something to say here, after the other photos was taken the other night on a few projects.. later that night. I decided I would weld or try to spot weld on another project even though my wife ask me nicely not to and to wait to the next day.. well I thought why wait. So I got my welder out and started to weld.. well towards the end on the other project I took a small brake and soon as I went to flip my shield down my welding shield glass broke.. so I thought I could easy finish the weld up by closing my eyes during the welds with my face shield on.. let me just say later that night I had a good welder flash.. and still have a sore right eye ball as well yet!.. On top of that with having the face shield on that night and working out in the driveway area. I a bout knock over the work stand behind me when a few wild sparks burn my hand and I jump back. The other work stand had the semi trunk project on it.. The frame got bent as a few pieces of wood landed on it as things fell.. so I'm in the process of working on a metal frame for this project as well. I am using this time around instead of brass for the semi truck chassis as brass bends to easy.. I am going with store bought steel c channel for shevls that I am doubling up on to make a right size c channel.
