crazyrichard Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 awhile back i made a chevy-ford pickup rat ... idea was based on the well known rod with the coronet rear i used a chevy to make the rear ... now i was never happy with the result and just 2 hours ago i thought lets redo the "paint" better said patina .. still not one of my better builds but it looks a tad better now i think .. maybe later on i will change the front wheels and add a cage ..? the idea what i made > so today put pigment powder on the body and just went crazy with tones and runners and stuff just a quick revamp of this old build
crazyrichard Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 thnx guys .. i know i put it in under glass .. but when i sat down i thought .. hmm i know what i dont like .. those front wheels ... this build actually was finished quickly back then because i lost inspiration , and in the meanwhile i learned more or maybe got more vision (i hope lol) so i took out some tyres and got these revell tyres , usually for the rear ... used rings from amt and combined them with the wire wheels already on ... now this is quite a big thing (the whole rod) and so now it's got more of that heavy duty look ! i think i will modify the grille also and make a visor ...
Jantrix Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 I rather liked it in the blue color. It had more character in my opinion.
crazyrichard Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 irl .. it looks way better with the rust .. the blue and flaked of paint irl looks unrealistic .. part was gloss and part matte (not in a good way) and tbh most of the flaked of paint spots with rust looked so bad ... and repainting the body while everything is together is a crime so i opted for the rust here you can see it up close it was too cratched off , kind of a fail at the time added head lights and a lower lip / snowplow style
Mister Twister Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I liked the original scheme, but the total rusty look works well also.
