Harry P. Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Remember... don't post any hints or answers here! PM me with year, make, and model. The answer: 1953-61 Lloyd LT500/LT600
Chillyb1 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Another vehicle that I'd love to see in plastic kit form. I love these.
bbsbase Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 A family-van with a face. Nice suicide doors and look the rear wheels standing
Harry P. Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 This week's car is a 1953-57 Lloyd LT500 and/or a 1955-61 Lloyd LT600 (mechanical changes, but pretty much identical visually). So much for Chrysler having invented the minivan! Who got it right: sjordan2 wisdonm Thom jaymcminn dw1603 bbsbase Jantrix Pete J. W-409 matthijsgrit Zandmann Corvair Jim mr chips
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Bugger. I didn't have time to look for it til this AM. First thought it was a DKW Schnellaster (built from '49 and another claimant to the "first minivan" title). Finally found a pic of a '53 Lloyd woody sitting next to a DKW van in a European museum. I think the little Lloyd may have drawn heavily on the Schnellaster for inspiration... Edited March 20, 2015 by Ace-Garageguy
Pete J. Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Wouldn't take much to convert either of these into a Disney character.
dimaxion Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I just know the Car (?) on the left is the World Infamous Trabant . I did not have a clue . Disney Character was my guess . Thanx ..
W-409 Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 This was quite easy actually. That Trabant front end that is seen in the picture and the fact that this car had steering wheel on left side made me think it's German... And after figuring that out, I found it really easily.
