This paint scheme was called "Elizabeth" back then. Just finished it. Franklin Mint did this one years ago in 1/32 and I could never afford it so I made my own. The only thing I don't like is that the bumper is too wide. I did not use the front brake drums as the axle was too wide so now the bumper looks even wider. But overall it is a nice kit.

Thank you guys for the nice comments. I'll also take comments on how to make the bumper look better.

The only way to fix it is to cut it, section it, and rechrome it.

Yep, I just did that. But I did cut a little from each corner. Now the corners look funny but at least it don't look wide. I think I messed it up. If somebody has an extra bumper for this I'll buy it. :(

Really nice looking White-Freightliner. Well done. The silver with the green really stands out. Definitely not a fleet truck.

Ugh... another thing on the "to-do" list for my current Feightliner COE project.

But it sure is a beautiful rig you have !!

How about making a custom bumper from some styrene sheet, along the lines of a "Texas Bumper". You could cover it in Bare Metal Foil (BMF) and have a good match for the kit chrome.

Call me crazy, but fixing these little quirks on a kit is the fun part of modeling! Theres a little more pride in the truck, knowing that you corrected their mistakes.

Very true ! And AMT gave us several "opportunities" with that kit ! :-)
