Ramfins59 Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 (edited) Not that I'm aware of...... but I'd buy one if there was... and also a 1939 Delahaye... This 1:18 Diecast is just a bit too pricey for me right now at $295. Edited April 4, 2015 by Ramfins59
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Heller makes a 1/24 Delahaye 135, about 1936 or so. The radiator shell is similar, and it should supply a decent chassis and engine. You'd have to scratch-bash a coachbuilt body (is that another Figoni et Falaschi job?), but it sure would be a worthwhile project.
LDO Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 The car in the OP has a body by Figoni & Falaschi. The Heller kit has a body by Chapron. I am not aware of an F&F car in 1/24 or 1/25. There are kits and diecast models in other scales, but they can be very expensive.
Harry P. Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Greg... this isn't "off topic" and really belongs in the General section, which is where I'm moving it. I've noticed that you post a lost of topics here in "Off Topic" that aren't actually off topic at all, but have to do with either model cars or 1:1 cars. Feel free to post stuff like that where it really should go, the "Off Topic" area is meant for stuff that has nothing to do with cars, either models or the real ones.
Atmobil Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Well, probably no kit you could buy but the Heller 135 is already mentioned and here is the result of a Norwegian modellers work with the same inspiration: The builders name is André Kristoffersen and he built this in 2011 for the theme class at the Norwegian Challenge show where the theme was non american models before 1940. He also did this to the Delage D8SS
mrm Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Not that I'm aware of...... but I'd buy one if there was... and also a 1939 Delahaye... This 1:18 Diecast is just a bit too pricey for me right now at $295. This is not a diecast. It is actually resin.
keyser Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Automodelli does a 1/24 resin pre-built, a sister car. Bring money. Out of production I've got their Mormon Meteor and their Phantom Corsair.
Foxer Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I got the Heller 135 long ago in hopes of someday being able to put a body similar to the ones shown. It's still waiting for my skills to improve .. like most of my builds.
Atmobil Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I can reveal that on the model I posted above the builder used plastic spoons to make the fenderskirts/wheelcovers.
lysleder Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I'd say Heller might want to consider tooling up a body and interior for this one. They have the chassis already..
gtx6970 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 If I wasnt such a tightwad. I would own this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1939-DELAHAYE-165-FIGONI-FALASCHI-1-24-Automodello-/351349147845?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51ce0a88c5
