Clay Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 yes it dose have to be a dragster and if you show me what you brining i might let you use that glue bomb Then nvm I'm out, I'm not completely comfortable cutting into models yet, but I will look at the posts, sorry guys.
DrewC Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Just so I understand.... this is an on-line build, of a dragster or drag car? Pro Mod, ProStreet, Gasser... it doesn't matter? As long as it's "out of the box"? And the rules are, there aint any rules????!!!! DrewC
VictorSmalls Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Thanks for the invite. I would put something together but have too much on my plate at the moment. Shame this wasn't earlier, as I am almost finished with a 10.5 style 66 Nova. I just started a 69 Barracuda running slicks, but wouldn't call it a drag car. After those get finished up I have at Torino to build up for a guy at work. Looks like I have the next couple months filled up. Good luck guys and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
gerry78 Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 is every one putting up a kit to send to the winner? i said i would and i'll keep my word. just wanting to know.
curt raitz Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Sounds like fun... how 'bout aftermarket stuff... I have the funnycar body, blower and top hat from Competition Resins, Slixx Decals and the latest Revell Funnycar kit to build Ron Capp's 2006 Brut Funnycar...have not started - so can provide photos of all parts, etc - gives me a good excuse to build this sucker can also throw in a plastic model kit for da winner and Raul will be hard-pressed to finish this build in the time frame alotted...so he probaly shouldn't be considered the 'slam-dunk winner' as yet...
Darrell Gwinn Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Welp here's what i accomplished so far, I'm goin for the street n strip look, itll have radials on the back and full exhaust.... ok so its a pro street, its still a drag car! Wheel and tire choice Cut out the front fender wells and got the blower setup mocked up Got narrowed frame rails from a 57 Chevy street machine and narrowed them even more Adding fender wells from Pro stock firebird I like it!
Raul_Perez Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Raul will be hard-pressed to finish this build in the time frame alotted...so he probaly shouldn't be considered the 'slam-dunk winner' as yet... Or at all!! His models are only average at best...he just does a really good job touching them up in Photo Shop!! Did I say that?!

Dirk, That's not fair!! I haven't even looked through my pile of kits to figure out what I want to build and you're already headed for the finish line!! I guess I better get started!

Raul_Perez Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 OK, I'm going to build the Revell '64 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt. No picks yet, unless you want to see a picture of the box. I still have to finish my 43 Willys gasser pickup and my '58 Impala street machine for the NNL West BEFORE I even start on the T-Bolt.
Clay Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I think that along with the sealed kits the winner should get all the entrys as well. Just a thought to some added motivation.
