Pip23 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 I got these at an estate sale that had a bunch of old Models and Slot cars. Some belong to Airplanes earliest date I found on one was 1943. Do Decals themselves without the models have value? Are any of these hard to find ?
cobraman Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 I'm pretty sure someone could use them. The 8 ball ones are kinda cool.
Draggon Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 The # decals in this pic, 1 to 0, the 48 and 66 are Pactra slot car decals. They are rare and well sought after, and get decent bucks on ebay. The #33 is Pactra. More bucks. The #33 and 66 are again Pactra, the small 1-0 is Cox. Even more bucks. If you are interested in selling them I'd ck out the ebay slot car section. My guesstimate is that you could be looking at $100 or so.
Pip23 Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 Thank you Draggon! I looked at slot car after you said this and found the Plymouth one with the 2s and hub sales Norm Nelson . It was on this auction but with the car and box . It looks like all the Car ones are for slot cars http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-Plymouth-Fury-SLOT-KIT-MIB-BOX-1-24-from1966-blistered-/261767882089?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cf294e569
Pip23 Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 I put them on Ebay , Hopefully they go high! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Slot-Car-Decal-lot-Tamiya-Colortone-Pactra-Aurora-National-Russkit-Monogram-more-/201336017641?
vamach1 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Not sure if you want to adjust that shipping price - seems kind of high for some light weight decals.
roadhawg Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Not sure if you want to adjust that shipping price - seems kind of high for some light weight decals. No, its not. Most things like that get sent USPS priority, and you most certainly want delivery confirmation on it too....so no, shipping price is in line.
Crazy Ed Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 You can get delivery confirmation for just over $1 for a First Class Letter or Large Envelope. So saying the total weight is ~3oz it'd cost ~$2 for shipping with Confirmation.
sjordan2 Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I'd scan any of them that you may want to use in the future.
Pip23 Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 I ended up being an idiot and spilled my sprite on these . I dont know enough about decals to know if they are ruined. It sucks
Pip23 Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 I had to end my auction which I have never done ever but I didnt want people to get ruined pieces. I am going to take new picks and offer them up here. If anyone wants them let me know. Not all were ruined but I didnt want someone to get ruined ones and be unhappy
