Guest Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 It's too bad the Rangers didn't get into the Finals, NY and Chicago would have been a great matchup.
High octane Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Hawks win? Well of course they did, what else would you expect?
TonyK Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 As a Blackhawks fan, I had to admit the Ducks looked like the better team most of the series but last nights game was amazing. Actually felt a little bad for the Ducks.

Guest Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I was hoping for that match up also! Nothing better than a couple of "original 6" teams playing for the cup! I imagine the league would have liked to see that as well. The TV ratings would have been great, 2 large markets would have generated a lot of interest.
mikemodeler Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 As a lifelong hockey fan, I am so glad the 'Hawks made it. The only bad thing is living on the East Coast so these games that start late (or go into overtime!) can make it hard to watch the games. Would love to see them win the cup at home, a nice tribute to their fans!

The only bad thing is living on the East Coast so these games that start late (or go into overtime!) can make it hard to watch the games. Huh? Isn't Tampa in the Eastern time zone, same as you? And Chicago time is only one hour behind east coast time.
mikemodeler Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Huh? Isn't Tampa in the Eastern time zone, same as you? And Chicago time is only one hour behind east coast time. Yes Harry, but an 8:20 EDT puck drop means the regulation game is over by 11:00, and if it goes to OT, who knows how much later it will go! I am still recovering from the OT games against Anaheim! LOL An old guy like me needs all the beauty sleep I can get!
Joe Handley Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I hear Garth Books was supposed to putting on a couple of shows in Tampa that had to be canceled because of the game.
Joe Handley Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Iy sounded like seemed cool about it, not sure about the paying fans though.
madhorseman Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 ALRIGHT!! Game one to the Hawks!! Corey, was fantastic, Vermette (hope i spelled that correctly) is a Hero again. Way to Go Blackhawks.
Belugawrx Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Ya.. The boys finally woke up in the third Two wasted power plays had me a little concerned tho Living in St. Catharines Ontario, back in the 60's it was all Blackhawks Stan Mikita is a St. Catharines boy. Go Hawks!
madhorseman Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 Game 2 to the Lighting, a split in Tampa is not bad!! Now, On to Chicago........LET'S GO HAWKS!!!
Joe Handley Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) We were watching the Hawks vs Tampa tonight at a family friend's houze for their son's 4th BD party and noticed a striking similarity while watching the post game We all swore this guy looks, sounds, and acts like a middle aged Kelso would have! Edited June 7, 2015 by Joe Handley
madhorseman Posted June 11, 2015 Author Posted June 11, 2015 Oh Yeah!! HAWKS WIN!! not exactly perfect, another split...but of course Tampa isn't exactly a pushover. Most definitely a great series, no matter what the outcome Corey Crawford was up to the task tonight, and what can you say about Duncan Keith!! He's been amazing taking away some sure goals from the Lighting!! LET'S GO HAWKS!!!

madhorseman Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) One more win to go for the Stanley Cup. Say doesn't Stanley make tools also? I think You're right Nick, but it was smart to diversify...and not put all his eggs in one cup. Really want to see my Hawks holding the cup. I'm with Ya Carl, it'll be great if they can do it in front of the home crowd!! P.S. Corey Crawford, I hope You learned something after what happened to "The bishop" Edited June 14, 2015 by madhorseman
mikemodeler Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 What a game! So glad to see Sharp score a goal for the first time in a month, Crawford played another great game and Vermette added another game winner! To win on Monday in Chicago would be huge, a great way for the fans in attendance to witness history, and keeps the Bolts from even thinking they have a chance! If you haven't already seen the video from The Fratelli's song "Chelsea Dagger", go to Youtube and watch it. I was going to post it but it is a little racy so I didn't want the Mods getting mad at me!
