Well after nearly a full sheet of bare metal foil it's done. I want to go back and wire the engine. I want to do another one in a different color I like this kit a lot. This is the Christine amt kit it was molded in red I love the detail on this kit.

Very nice work. Red plastic is difficult to paint white. Bleed through is tough to prevent and seal off. Priming helps but the best method I've used is to base coat the bare plastic in Testors silver before primer.

I have one of these kits and thankfully it is not molded in red. However, one detail this kit has wrong it the single 4 barrel carb. In the movie, Christine is equipped with the dual carb option. easily fixed though..

Great work , Mike !

Not to be "that guy" , but this is really directed at anyone building any 1961 & earlier Chrysler with an automatic : the Torqueflite is cast iron ( the 1960 A-904-G was Chrysler's first aluminium case transmission ; the A-727-A ( small V8 ) and its counterpart A-727-B ( big V8 & Hemi ) went to aluminum two years later ).

Minor thing that only Chrysler aficionados would spot

Were they left bare, or painted to match the engine (or something else)?

In both instances , the transmission cases were bare . The oil pans were also bare ; they were stamped steel .

Now the "Park" drum (which dates back to the A-466 Powerflite and the A-488 Torqueflite ) was , IIRC , semigloss black .
