Harry P. Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Remember... don't post any hints or answers here. PM me with year, make, and model. The answer: 2010 Gillet Vertigo .5 Spirit
Lovefordgalaxie Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Batman, your car was found. Contact Harry for details.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 (edited) Surprised with how fast I got it. A video game I played last long ago, then to Google Images, and bam. Edited June 15, 2015 by chunkypeanutbutter
jaymcminn Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 That is a lot of styling going on there. Not good styling, mind you...
dimaxion Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Whyn do my eyes feel like the "Welder's Flash" I received decades ago . All I wantwed to do is see the Car ?? I dunno this one either .. Thanx ..
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I have no idea what it is, never saw one...though it does have a few interesting things going on. If it's as fast as it looks, I could probably overlook the tortured styling.
Harry P. Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 I kind of like it. Delete the goofy "portholes" and there ya go. Slick, stylish, yet different. Just a few simple tweaks is all it needs...
3100 chevy Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Wavy lines flow in all different directions. Personal preference I like cars that flow one way
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I like Harry's version much better, but it still reminds me too much of this...
Harry P. Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 This week's car is a 2010 Gillet Vertigo .5 Spirit http://www.carscoops.com/2010/11/gillet-vertigo5-spirit-belgian-supercar.html Who got it right: Badluck 13 dw1603 sjordan2 wisdonm Draggon Matt Bacon chunkypeanutbutter TimJ otherunicorn Foxer jaymcminn
Matt Bacon Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Interestingly, that's basically a Caterham 7 under there, which you can kinda see in the proportions, once you know. The "portholes" that Harry so kindly deleted are there as a tribute to the engine that the beast's fitted with, them being a signature design feature for Maserati. Once I remembered where I'd seen them before (I've only built a couple of Maseratis after all...;-)) it was a pretty quick Google to find it! bestest, M.
Draggon Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) Thank you, Gran Turismo 3. Also 4, 5, 6, and probably 7. Thats how I got it! Weren't you like, 2 years old when GT3 came out? Edited June 19, 2015 by Draggon
chunkypeanutbutter Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) Also 4, 5, 6, and probably 7. Thats how I got it! Weren't you like, 2 years old when GT3 came out? Three years old. I was playing GT2 at two years old, sitting on the living room (now the library) floor, using the Mad Catz wheel and pedals... Tahiti Road was my favorite course on that game, and still is. I ran my first endurance race in GT3 when I was six, I think it was the Miata one. I didn't even remember the Gillet was in GT4. Been a few years since I've played it. Both of my copies went south a week apart from each other. After 10 years of playing it, I still have a real hard time beating that Sauber Mercedes C9 in the World Championship.
