YBlock292 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I built this 1964 Mercury to show that also other fullsize-cars of the 60s - not only 64 Impalas - definetly look good with "lowrider looks". So I did not build the engine but used a set of Pegasus wheels.
Tonioseven Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I can dig it!! It's refreshing to see something different built as a lowrider as opposed to the same old Chevy Impala theme. Terrific work!!!
Matt T. Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Very cool! I like the styling on those '63/'64 Mercs.
peekay Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I'm not a fan of lowriders but I love everything else about this. Excellent foil and paint detail in the grilles.
59-Desoto Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Paintwork and foiling looks great , never been a fan of lowriders and undersized tire thing.
DeeCee Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Very nicely done, i looks sweet with its butt on the ground too.
Sledsel Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Working on one of these now. I partially filled that line on the trunk above the lights so it was not so prominent. Looks really good. A LOT of BMF on these!!!!
YBlock292 Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) Thank You guys for Your comments! Yes, make sure that You like working with BMF when You decide to build one of these big cars. Ludwig Edited June 17, 2015 by YBlock292
The Modeling Hermit Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 (edited) I had a real one like that back when I was in the Army. It even shared the same stance, though mine was due to dead springs. Nice build of a really cool car. Edited June 28, 2015 by Kodiak Island Modeler
unclescott58 Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Very nice. I love those big, sporty, 1960's full-size bucket seat cars. Scott
