mike 51 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I don't see anything even vaguely funny about any of those pictures....seems unlikely anyone involved thought so either. The driver and/or passengers of the Mustang especially.
ChrisBcritter Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 The Le Mans was a one-family-owned car, sadly - idiot woman down in Orange County hit the wrong pedal and clobbered it; it was all over the net a while back. The remains went to an insurance auction not long after.
unclescott58 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Not funny! Very, very sad. Have seen and read about the accident involving the LeMans before. Tragic. The '73 is really sad. I assume who ever was in the car, did not come out of that one okay? No. These are not funny in any way. Scott
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) Sorry guys. As I would not like to start another war on a post or damage any ones delicate sensibilities, I will delete the photos. Steve Edited June 19, 2015 by StevenGuthmiller

Steve You shouldn't have to apologize for them being offended, while not everyone sees these picture as humorous that's no reason to call you out. It's not like you said anything about death being funny, you simply stated that some of the post accident pictures were humorous. I think the Corvette one is kinda funny,I'm sure somebody lost a job over that one.

Thank you Austin, but I have learned that around here at times it's better to leave well enough alone than get into a pissing match that just makes enemies & leads nowhere. Steve
unclescott58 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Actually, I think that was pretty decent and brave of you to take down the photos Steven. I look to this site for mainly fun things dealing with our hobby. So, I thank you for what you did. Scott
Austin T Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 "Brave" to succumb to pressure...... Here's the highly offensive NSFW content that has sparked such a raging inferno of debate.
Drake69 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 What did that Mustang do to deserve such treatment? WOW.
mike 51 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 What a bizzare reaction Steve and Austin.. ..you guys thought the pics were "funny" and a couple of us disagreed, that's ALL. Your reactions to us not finding humor were rather exaggerated don't you think?

The driver and/or passengers of the Mustang especially. I agree. These look like they were either nicely restored or restified vehicles which their owners took a lot of pride in. So, what was the funny part again? Was it the damage to the cars themselves? Diminished value or write-offs for the owners? Injury or loss of life? Hilarious. If you just needed to get your inner Attention Wh*re on, Facebook awaits.
Deathgoblin Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 The Corvette pic is funny. The others just make me hope no one was hurt, especially the Mach I.

chunkypeanutbutter Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 That Mustang isn't funny, per se... more justice. Anyone driving that fast in a residential area deserves to have their expensive car wrapped around a tree. The Corvette is funny.... mainly because I'm not a Vette guy, but also because that guy done messed up good.
Jon Cole Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 OK, the Corvette... NOBODY WAS HURT. Well, except for the pride of the guy unloading it. The Mustang, that looks to be quite possibly a fatal, and there is nothing funny about that. The Lemans, that happened at a "Cars & Coffee" event. Nobody was inside the Lemans at the time. I don't know about the driver of the other car, other than to say it was a female.
unclescott58 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 By the way, an old '40(?) Ford parked next to the LeMans was also damaged in that incident. Sad in more ways than one. Scott
