Just wondering- is the mini bike included in the MPC Dodge Monaco 2-door based on an actual bike, or just a generic "Yep, that's a mini-bike, alright" sort of thing?

I'll have to admit ignorance on being able to ID any type of mini bike, but I'm pretty sure somebody on here would be more knowledgeable about it.

The Force 440 didn't include the mini-bike, the annual kit did, probably going back to the '75 when it was a Plymouth Roadrunner. My '76 kit has it.

Yeah- that one looks way closer to the mark- especially the wheels! I thought the wheels in the kit bike were just a lazy attempt at spokes, but they actually do look like the wheels on the one you posted.

Thanks for the info guys. B)

It always looked a bit like the Rupp a neighbor of mine use to have. It's neat to know that others have thought the same thing. In my mind, unless someone proves differently, that basically confirms it.

I'm more and more convinced it's a Rupp, especially after seeing this (while doing an online image search for 1969 Rupp Roadster.

Looks like there was a similar 1:1 model to the Roadster called a "Goat' as well.

I've been digging into these little bikes... and thanks again to everyone who helped point me in the right direction... and it appears that the "Roadster" here might actually be a Goat. Everything I've been able to find states that the Roadster had a headlight and taillight, while the Goat did not. And to further muddy the waters, the Goat was also sold under the Ram name.

Anyway, I think I've got more than enough info to do something with this thing.
