Matt Bacon Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Another excellent early 60s kit, but this time bought assembled because unbuilt ones go for crazy money! As bought from eBay: After repainting and re-decalling: With weathering (relatively restrained compared to the real things, I reckon...) bestest, M.
Roadrunner Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Wow, that's bizarre. I had no knowledge of such an arrangement. Pretty cool.
Earl Marischal Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Nice work on that loco. Got a layout to store it on? steve
Jim B Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 That's a pretty neat looking Garratt 2-6-0+0-6-2 locomotive. Very well done on the weathering. I'm pretty sure that US railways never ran Garratt style locomotives. I think they preferred the Mallet-type.
Dave Van Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Very nice work!!! I have almost all the Kitmaster OO line. I did not know they had become worth anything!!!
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Fascinating locomotive, definitely. I've never seen or even imagined anything like that. Very nice re-work too.
Harry P. Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Crazy weird setup, first time I've ever seen one. Beautiful work, excellent weathering.
