Daddyfink Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 All new and all cool http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/06/the-1960s-f1-car-remastered/
High octane Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Yes it is rather cool and looks like an awesome ride.
Earl Marischal Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 And now, how about a front engined version from the 1950s... Something like this maybe? steve
Austin T Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Gosh, I betcha that's fun to drive but also a little crazy being so small and lightweight with so much power. I'd still love to drive it though.
Crazy Ed Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I agree it'd be a fun car to drive, but as shown it's >$176K. Seems to me one could buy an actual Vintage Racer for that amount that would still retain it's Collectors value after having all the fun you wanted.

That's probably very true, I have a doctor and a physical therapist friends that both race in vintage classes and both have had expensive open wheel racers, the Dr had the F-1 Lola Jackie Stewart drove to the World Championship in 1970, and the physical therapist owned an early Dan Gurney Eagle. The only problem that would be much better about buying one of these new production cars is the availability of parts and modern engine pieces when needed, a Cosworth F-1 engine for a backup engine was $125,000 ten years ago, I'd hate to buy one today. I was just thinking the same, even as pricey as it is, you're not playing with vintage, I.E. expensive and rare hardware!
ZTony8 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 As presented this car is more like a seven years early version of a Formula A car.
