William thank you for your service to keep us safe and also for being a great man.... rest in peace my friend....
Jim B Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Very sad news, Gator. Thank you for posting, though. Muleskinner helped me with plans for some builds.
truckabilly Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I feel very sad because Muleskinner has been one of my model building heros. I borrowed some of his ideas when building my Pete logger. He sure left an empty space in my heart. May you rest in piece, sir.
maxwell48098 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Bill Bitner was an extremely accomplished modeler of various automotive subjects. I always enjoyed his work and we conversed back and forth on several projects. Just remember that life is too short not to enjoy every day. A.J.
anarximis Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I did not get the pleasure to chat with him but he sound like a great man, from a boy scout (life rank) I salute you you sir and thank you for your service to our country my you rest in peace.
GrumpyGrowly Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I too never got the privilege to chat with him. From what I have read he's a true American hero and gentleman. "no one is ever truly gone as long as you remember them" To those who served before me, the brave who are serving now and to those who have yet to serve--- You will never be forgotten! Rest in peace, Sir.
Jim B Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I recently found William & Judith's obituary:http://theworldlink.com/news/local/obituaries/william-and-judith-bitner/article_d219c116-cc73-5a79-9355-6143e19bdef5.htmlThe obituary doesn't say, but apparently it was a house fire:http://www.kmtr.com/news/local/313320091.htmlJust terrible. My condolences to his family.
Aaronw Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Sorry to hear that, I didn't interact with him much but I do remember some fantastic models. RIP
