A couple of my builds...

I have been wanting to share a few of my builds for a while and couldn't until the new format came into effect. Forgive the quality and background they were shot on the fly in the backyard with an iPhone.

I like the old '60 Ford pickups Gary! I've been after another one myself to build either a short style side or short flare side.

First, I apologize for putting these in the wrong category, they should have gone into the Trucks section. Second thanks for the compliments. The red and white one is a Modelhaus kit. The black one started out as an Ebay special. The bed section wasn't in very good condition and I prefer stepsides anyway, so I cut it off and used the 53 Ford bed and various other parts.

nice pick-em-ups!  I have a couple of those early 60s Fords that I just haven't gotten to yet.  I did want to cut the integrated bed off one to make a step side myself!

The '60 Ford truck is one of those that I still do an occasional search for on ebay.

They're about as common as hens teeth, but one will present itself someday.

Nice builds! How did you do the metal finish on the '34? It looks really good, like real metal.

Thanks for the looks! The bare metal was done as an experiment. After priming and fine sanding the body, I painted the '34 with Krylon Dull Aluminum and polished it smooth. I then heavily  globbed on some acrylic flat black and then partially wiped it off before it had a chance to dry very much. It comes out looking pretty good.
