maximum_overdrive Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 when ever i get bored, i will grab a old build off the shelf and make one of these apocalypse style cars. its alot of fun because anything goes. this is also the frist model i have built in a few years. it was a tamiya kpgc10 syyline but it had lost a few peices over the years so it was perfect for this.
Jantrix Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Very nice! Well done. Those vehicles can be great slump busters. Much of what we do in this hobby needs to be as perfect as possible. So building something where the opposite is a requirement is very freeing sometimes.
IceMan Collections Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 This looks great. What stencil did you use for the skull & bones on the back of the trailer?
maximum_overdrive Posted July 26, 2015 Author Posted July 26, 2015 This looks great. What stencil did you use for the skull & bones on the back of the trailer?it was a decal from a airplane.
outlaw035 Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 well done...i also like building post apocalypse vehicle's....and i totally agree with what jantrix said...
spencer1984 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 That looks great, love the themed graphics you've added!
Zarana-X Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Neat! The skull & crossbones were used on the F-14 Jolly Rogers squadron.
Matt T. Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I love it! Very realistic with all the added details and the weighed-down stance.I may have to try one of these types of build...
crazyrichard Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 awsome ! love it .. and i feel you .. i already rebuild most of my build cars ..... so easy to take one and redo stuff.. i usually just rat them and weather the .... out of them
maximum_overdrive Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 i found a half built original issue of the A team van on my shelf so i made another one. the other one got broken so i scavenged a few parts to make this. i also made one from a 37 ford panel truck , its a little more sci-fi/ unrealistic it still needs some work.
b-body fan Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 That's crazy!!!! I love it. Excellent weathering.
maximum_overdrive Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 thanks, heres proof i do build shiny stuff to.
Cpt Tuttle Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I love those post-apocalyptic builds and this one is no exception, well done!
christian-w Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Awesome! The A-Team van looks very good. But I like the Nissan & trailer most. Al the stuff and weathering is pretty well done! The illusion of a heavy weight vehicle is well seen at the Nissan.
