crazyjim Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 My '70 Road Runner is finished in HOK chrome yellow with some Pearl Ex sparkle gold added to the clear coat. The decals in the garbage kit I got off ebay were trash and I was unable to locate another set, so I made my own. The Road Runner guy is a little large, but it works for me.
karbuildr Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I like it. I think it looks good in yellow. Not a color you see very often with these cars. Very nice build.
cobraman Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Jim, you should warn a person to put on some sunglasses before viewing. : )
XJ6 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Beautiful ? and the interior is Fantastic just one Great Model ??XJ6?
DeeCee Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Nice looking build there Jim, love the color on it too.
Crazy Ed Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 A Really Sanitary Build with a nicely detailed Interior Jim. Well done.
Kit Basher Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Very nice, Jim. Great color and I like the wheels, what are they? Also, are you using aftermarket distributors? If so, what kind? Thanks.
XJ6 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 The Car (build) Has a very nice Profile to it I do believe it has a lot to do with the color. Looks Very Nice ??Don aka XJ6 ?
crazyjim Posted August 2, 2015 Author Posted August 2, 2015 Thank you Brian, Hugh, and Don.Wheels/tires are from the kit. I believe in real life they would be the police special wheels. The box shows them painted with the small hubcaps. They were chrome in the kit and I couldn't strip them down and paint them.I use only Fatkidd style distributors. Fatkidd, who posts on this forum sometimes, sells them for a couple bucks each, but he showed me what I needed and how to make them myself.
Dominik Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 yellow on yellow...not often to see this. you made a good Job. Looks good!
om617 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Very nice RR. Not a yellow fan but strangely it works on some Mopars.
