gasman Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Should be good, happy they are on Amazon, no advertising from the auto makers means they can give Honest reviews. Not surprised they went with an American company. Gives Clarkson free speech to say whatever stupid thing he wants too say
dublin boy Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Apparantly Amazon is small but growing in the UK, but still not available in Ireland for some reason. It makes me laugh because Northern Ireland is in the UK and only an hours drive from Dublin. Go figure...
Quick GMC Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 ...but it isn't on television... Amazon Prime is cheaper than cable and has way better stuff to watch whenever you want. Not to mention free 2 day shipping on almost everything.
martinfan5 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Should be good, happy they are on Amazon, no advertising from the auto makers means they can give Honest reviews. Not surprised they went with an American company. Gives Clarkson free speech to say whatever stupid thing he wants too say The went with a streaming service because they all have a none compete clause in their contracts from the BBC that ran through I believe its March of 2017 ,they had all but sign with ITV , ITV was even going to air the new show at the same time as Top Gear, but the lawyers got involved, the clause is only for the UK, so with Amazon(Netflix was also in the bidding for them) all based in the US, that gets them around that clause. All I can really say is, I cant wait for them to be back next year.
Harry P. Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I'm still waiting for the Amazon drone to deliver my order...
jaymcminn Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 So the lads coming back in a format that allows them to do pretty much whatever they want to do plus BBC Top Gear coming back with one of England's greatest petrolheads (Chris Evans) at the helm? Great time to be a car guy!
Rob Hall Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Nice..looking forward to it.. I've been a happy Prime customer for years, and streaming to the TV w/ the Fire TV Stick is pretty easy..
martinfan5 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Still going to stick with using torrents to get the new show, not going to pay for prime , not worth it , already get two day shipping for free, and anything sold or fullfilled by Amazon gets taxes applied since Amazon has five warehouses here in the valley.
martinfan5 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Now, the detailsThe new show has a deal for three years at 12 episodes per season, the shows budget is 250million for the three years, production is said to be starting in 2016 with the show airing in the fall, also, its being reported that it will air one show a week.
