SpreadAxle Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Finished at last. Here is my Astro and the 40 ft Trailmobile van I built for it. It was made using 2 of the 27' Trailmobile double trailers. Aside from lengthening it, I made a tandem axle suspension, added the big crossmember ahead of the suspension that Trailmobiles had on their older 40 footers, added air hoses, and a few other small details. I weathered it as best I could and added the soot stain on the upper right that used to be common on van trailers of that era. Now that it's complete, I can get back to my White Freightliner and others. Thanks for looking. 1
19nova72 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Very good build. Takes me back in time to when semis looked cool.
scummy Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Looks old , never thought of putting the two small trailers together . Thinking outside the box mate , cool build .
gatorincebu Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Ray, Glad to see you finish this. It looks pretty good. And the trailer turned out really nice .I like the subtle weathering. Good job. Be Well Gator
Chu Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Great built I really like it. I have similar kit but I'm going to make them dual rear.
kilrathy10 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) Good looking trailer, Man....I like the crack at the bottom left hand corner of the rear door.....That's a nice touch....See that all the time.... Edited August 4, 2015 by kilrathy10
