bondo bill Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Here's a box stock build I just finished. I painted the wood grain on the dash and steering wheel, with Testor's Purpalicious lacquer for the color. The seats and top are off brand paint. It was a fun build to round out the end of summer. Comments welcome!
AC Norton Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 love this piece, Bill....after seeing yours built i'll be heading to my LHS to grab one soon..............nice job on yours......the ace.....
Twokidsnosleep Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Looks great Gotta dirty up those dune buggy wheels!!!
Snake45 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Very nice! Great paint in particular!I'm looking forward to getting one of these. I had one as a kid but never finished it--not sure I've ever seen one built before. It looks like the "cabin" might be a little short (imagine trying to get into the thing!). I might have to consider moving the dash panel forward a bit for better proportions. Not long ago I built an old Manx kit as a bare-frame dune buggy and know that AMT's placement of the seats/shifter/pedals/steering wheel in relation to each other is a little funky. Thanks again for posting these pics!
