Let me first admit that the BMF on this kit is pretty bad. I started a new sheet of the stuff and had a lot of problems with it. Now I do not enjoy doing BMF very much but never had the problems I had before. Old sheet ? I don't know. Got it a week or so ago but that doesn't really mean much. Anyway, car is painted with French Blue with a white top. Pegasus wheels and twin sunken antennas are about the only items not from the box. I think I will start buying more kits that don't need BMF. Also, I did use a new blade.  Look at photos at your own risk ! : )

It doesn't look too terrible Ray.  You could always redo the spots where the foil isn't "perfect".  Don't feel too bad though... a lot of us "old farts" are having more and more "issues" doing BMF work.  Nice looking car though, I like the colors.

Good luck finding models that don't need BMF:lol:.

BMF was nowhere close to easy back when my hands were steady and eyes were clear. Yours looks better than any of mine. Good job young Jedi.

Looks pretty decent, Ray.  Do you keep your BMF wrapped in a plastic bag or Baggie and in the fridge?  That might help if you don't.  I've been using the same blade for BMF for a about 3 years now without issues.

Thanks Jim. You used the same blade for 3 years ?  Wow, I use a new one at least on every other model depending on how much I have been using. I do not keep the foil in the fridge, never heard that. I usually just slide it back in to the envelope it comes in and put it in one of my hobby drawers.

Yep.  Same blade, Ray.  Someday I'll change it.  I read about keeping BMF wrapped up and in the fridge somewhere.  Might have been here or from the other magazine.  It seems to work.  When I go up to Michigan to see my Mom, I stop at a LHS and buy most of what they have in stock.  There should be 6 packages waiting for me to get up there next week.

Blue with the white top looks good . The 64 chevy kits were pretty limited on the custom offerings, kit and parts box raid. Good job.

Nice.  Great choice on colors. One thing that can help with bmf if to scribe an edge along the edges of the chrome which makes clean edges. Downside is its a lot of work and you have to be cardful not to make a mess of the chrome.
