A fellow modeler suggested them after trying other types, and they worked great! They come pre assembled, ready to glue into your existing door openings, and function like the real thing! Here's a link to them, I used the 6 inch length type, the opening size is about 5mm including the glue flange !!! The item number is H100Nhttp://www.phoenixmodeldevelopments.com/acatalog/The_Phoenix_Miniature_Hinge_Range.html Edited August 20, 2015 by gotnitro? added link and images
angelo7 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Been wanting to use some of those on my kits but I'm not that good. They look really good.
disabled modeler Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Been wanting to open up the doors on some myself.
guitarsam326 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Thanks so much for posting the pics, i will be ordering several sets. How many trucks (roughly) do you think the 6 inch set will do?
gotnitro? Posted August 21, 2015 Author Posted August 21, 2015 (edited) Happy to offer another tool we can use ! That's what makes these forums great, helping each otherAs far as how many trucks these would cover, hmm..unsure. I'm guessing each door is about 2 nches tall, ? I did use a small section for a frame mounted tool bin, and had more left. My door was 48mm tall. Edited August 21, 2015 by gotnitro?

Jonj238 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 You have pictures of the hinge by the door, but do you have any pics of the hinges installed? I'm wanting to know where you would glue them on the body and door. Looks like Something I would like to try someday.

gotnitro? Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 The hinges have a flange that would be used to glue to the body or door edge. I'm just returning from the Bristol night race, I'll post an image when I return if needed
GLMFAA1 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Does anyone in the USA handle these products?greg

Tesla Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Are these still available? I can't find them on their site.A few weeks ago I contacted Phoenix Models about this. The gentleman who supplies them with hinges is very ill. They are trying to locate a new source.
