DrKerry Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Posting for Mark, he can fill ya in on the details of the build!!! Great build Mark!!!!!
MGL Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 This is really cool, is that a snake on the front seat?
disabled modeler Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Thanks guys... Yes its a snake in the seat...LOL... all extra details were made from what came in the kits box only...most scratch built from part tree sprue. I hid tons of little details in and on it...just have to look hard and find them all..LOL... My kit was missing the tires so there from another kit other than for that everything came from the kit...I told many of you that nothing every goes to waste here..LOL... Thanks for the comments guys...it was my first attempt at such a build.
72 Charger Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 That broken rear glass is just so accurate. Well done for a first attempt I would say your a natural
disabled modeler Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Dave... Thank you for your comments. It was a fun build...I have another that I need to get back on sometime soon of a 64 Dodge 2door sedan. They also make great loads for trailers.
slusher Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Cool and awesome model Mark. Imagine sitting on the snake...
peekay Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Lots of great detailing and that hole in the window is perfect.
disabled modeler Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Thanks guys... I have spent too much time in old junkyards...been surprised with snakes before too...LOL..there not happy when you try to take part of their home off...LOL..
disabled modeler Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Thanks Aaron...it was fun to build. If it were not for the guys that posted them for me I would not have been able to share them with you all.

Aaronw Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 You build great junk. A very realistic looking model of a truck that has seen better days.
Superpeterbilt Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Excellent build Mark. Your an expert with the details. The snake is a nice touch. I grew up in a junk yard, and I give this my stamp of authenticity. I would like to see more pics of this if possible. What year is it?
towman1271 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 That takes detailing to a new level..I have to agree that you have a gift sir!!! AMAZING
disabled modeler Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Thanks guys......coming from you guys that is a great compliment...! Its the Revell 64 Chevy kit...everything came from what was in the box other than the tires mine were missing from the kit. It was warped so i figured Id try this kind of build and see what I could do with it. Ill see if i can get Dr.Kerry to post some more photos of it for you all...see what all you guys can find in or on it I added a lot of small details to it...and yes the rag gas cap is removable..LOL.. it just made mounting it easy. Roaming old junkyards was a passion of mine...just fun to look and see what you could find there. Ill try to get some more photos for you guys today on it...Thanks!
TooOld Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Very cool Mark , the added details look very real ! Love the shop rag in the filler !
thatz4u Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 (edited) nice relic, Mark, maybe you should try ratrod/roadkill cars & trucks Edited September 6, 2015 by thatz4u error
disabled modeler Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Thanks Bob and Al....! yep I thought the shop rag in the filler tube was a nice touch on it...it does have a filler tube the rag is just stuck into it rag was made from parts tree sprue like all the other little things. Did anyone see the mushrooms on the pass side floor?...LOL... I did find a good use for the flash on the parts tree...it made the pass side door window regulator. I still have a lot to learn about weathering yet. hopefully Ill be able to get you all some more photos of it soon. I have another I need to get back on soon its a 64 Dodge 330 sedan but its on hold for now.
DrKerry Posted September 6, 2015 Author Posted September 6, 2015 I like the rag in the fuel filler neck and the fishing pole in the bed!!!!! Nice touches for sure!!!!
disabled modeler Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Thanks Ray....more photos coming on it...hope you all enjoy them.
