MeatMan Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Impressive fab work! I love the concept as well.
exesivefire Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 Thanks guys, got the radiator mounted and some shading and weathering on the frame
62pyro Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 You're coming into the home stretch.Everything's looking good.
exesivefire Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 You're coming into the home stretch. Everything's looking good. not sure about that, still have a lot to do, but I'm sure trying. got the wheels and tires ready to go on the front. Also got the rear axle ready to go, hopefully tomorrow I can get the chassis together and work on detailing.
RAT-T Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 LOVE THOSE SINGLE RIB RADIRS, ARE THOSE FROM MODELHAUS?
exesivefire Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 LOVE THOSE SINGLE RIB RADIRS, ARE THOSE FROM MODELHAUS?yes they are
exesivefire Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 The front is coming together nicely. also got the rear wheels and tires painted and assembled
exesivefire Posted September 23, 2015 Author Posted September 23, 2015 Man it doesn't look like it, but made some serious progress today. I'm gonna cut it close for sure. First I got the chassis assembled for good. Made a simple inner door structure painted the dash and started to detail the engine.
62pyro Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Looks like you just MIGHT make the deadline. Looks killer.
exesivefire Posted September 24, 2015 Author Posted September 24, 2015 Got the interior buttoned up always hard to get finished pics, but here it is in there.
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Stunning work. The chassis is a work of art. Its going to be a beauty when its done.
Jantrix Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) Very often I'll look through these threads and say to myself, "I wouldn't have done it like that." Sounds pompous I'll grant you. Very infrequently do I think though, "I wouldn't have thought of that." That's the case here though. The alteration of the seats to make them fit without losing function, is done perfectly. I am going to shamelessly steal this idea for my upcoming '29 build. Well done sir. Edited September 24, 2015 by Jantrix

RyanK Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Looks Great! Looks like you are going to make it!

I figured it was plausible so I went with it. I didn't lose any seat area so I figure why not.I totally agree! exesivefire Posted September 24, 2015 Author Posted September 24, 2015 Cut up the steering box from the new 29 kit, mounted it to a reinforcement plate on the firewall. Tight fit, and probably something I should have thought about earlier. But it's done.
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Great work on steering. You definitely needed a shoe horn. Gets better with every update.
62pyro Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 How many different ways can I say "WOW" ?Nice work as always.
exesivefire Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Well I missed my deadline, work got in the way and I had to choose weather to rush and finish it, or call it and finish how I want to. Hopefully I'll have it done before the Toledo NNL.
