Revell to issue 914 2 in 1?

Hi,

Has any one heard that Revell will issue a 1/25 Porsche 914 2 in 1?

They've had a not-too-good kit, loaded with detail and proportion flaws, for many many years.

The reason I ask was while perusing the 1999.co.jp site I came across this;

Its got some date of April 2015.

Yup. Old tool, lots of problems (looks like a 914 if you've only seen one in a blizzard and squint), same as the latest release (though the tires may be different), probably (99.99999% chance) it won't ever be re-tooled.

Sources indicate it will be reissued later this month.   I've never had any of the previous issues, plan to get one since it's the only one ever done of this subject in 1/25th...

LOL Bill, fill in da blank. 

I actually thought it made the 914 look a little better in rear, bigger wheel openings. Get the nice 914-6 GT conversion and it'll be good.

It was due in september, but got pushed back. The kit is awful. I will get another because I like to punish myself.

Figures as I got the original 1971  Revell kit about a year ago off the 'Bay, and paid just a bit too much for it.

And yes, there are some body shape issues with it, but I bought it as I can remember this car very well when I was in Junior High School back in the early '70's when this was new. I've always liked them as I thought they were cool looking.

I'll probably get another one when they come out, to see how it compares to the original I have.

Overall I liked the one I built a couple of years ago. The kit take a little extra effort, but turns out okay in the end.

Kit's been pushed back again, doesn't have a release date as of yet, I would think early 2016, but anyone's guess at this point
