Remember the milkman in our village using one, still remember his name; Fons who always gave my brothers and I candy whenever he delivered milk, eggs and butter.....

Some other delivery vehicles I remember from my youth, a Bedford TK (brewer; his name was Robert and also the coal guy)

Sinca 1100 Fourgonette (Baker; his name was Maurice )

Opel Rekord Delivery (also Bakery, but replaced by Simca in the mid '70s)

My mother had an HY for her fashion house. Actually a succession of them.

Simca 1100 and Opel C-Rekord kits are long overdue, let alone their commercial variants.
One can only hope Emhar will continue their Bedford Programme with an S type and TK.

Until then, let's strengthen Heller as much as we can by doing H vans galore.

Yes I know...it was more of a rhetorical question, as I'd like to just put in one mass order to try to spread out the shipping costs a bit.  Two kits clock in at over $26 US in shipping charges alone.  I can FedEx several somethings from Japan for that amount.

Interesting if you translate it back into English - well their English version, it still says 4th Quarter 2015...They got 3 days, they can make it!

I'm intrigued to see what they have up their sleeves at the Toy Faire in February.

Seeing the kit now, has made want to get it more,  I missed out on pre ordering it from Hobby Search,  I have no issues with ordering it direct from Heller, I am stuck with the Mehari pre order ( cant cancel it) so I need to find another kit to spread out the shipping as James mentioned, I do sort of want their version of the 4L , so I guess I could order that one:lol:

Postage from France is outstandlingly expensive, even just across the Channel.
If it saves you any, you can always use me as a relay station for your European purchases, though.

Appreciate the offer...in reality the costs of the shipping worked into the kit makes them like $35 a piece.  Considering that when HLJ carries Heller products the tend to be $31-36 before shipping (for some reason the reissue of the 5CV Trefle for instance is $36, but the Dehayle, Bugatti and Hispano are all $31), and the local show vendor had the E-Type Jag reissues for $32 a piece...$35 without having to drive anywhere or wait the 6+ months behind that HLJ seems to run with Heller kits (they just NOW got in the Dehayle and Bugatti) doesn't really wind up being that outrageous.

I ordered the HY and Mehari from Heller on the 26th.  $72.62 for two kits shipped to AZ, not that bad, only $36 and change each.     They have the Fergeson tractor on the site, figure it will be out sometime next year, that's oddly one I'm really looking forward to.

My last shipment was three models, cost me £10.52, just over £3.50 each kit, will cost you more than that to send one model kit inland in the U.K via the Royal mail.

Since I'm not using her Majesty's highwaymen for my parcels, posting a model kit within the UK costs me £2.90

Oh, I don't use the Royal Mail unless I have to, inland parcels are sent using My Hermes, but most online stores use the Royal Mail.

I'm seeing that the Heller and Ebbro new French vehicles are not readily available here in the US. Usually within a few weeks some of the eBay sellers are offering them and I can pick them up for a reasonable price.  I may have to make that big offshore purchase after the holidays.  I do want an HY, the 2CV pickup, all versions of the Renault 4, the Mehari and big Citroen!   I grew up in Europe 1969-73 so these are all familiar cars to me.

I've yet to see a Heller Renault 4L come across eBay in the 6 months that the kit has been available, and only a few of the other newly boxed reissues have surfaced.  Perhaps I need to search more broadly specifically by International Sellers or something...although I get all the Japan, Hong Kong, etc sellers otherwise...does no one realize there would be a resale market for Heller kits on eBay beyond the old original releases?

You can always order directly from Heller, or Oups, or Berlinetta Models.

Maybe we should compile a link list of European online sources somewhere, for our friends west of Ireland?
There are several, which are for European stuff, what HLJ or Hobbysearch are for Japanese.

I did order mine directly from Heller..I know of a few online European retailers of diecast, I've bought a variety of diecast (Siku, Minichamps, Vanguards, etc) from them in the past, haven't found any for model kits, though.

Got my HY and Mehari today, only a little over 2 weeks from France to Arizona...not bad.  The boxes were squished slightly from the plastic wrap being too tight (soft boxes), but everything inside looks fine at first glance..
