mangodart Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Hi guys Back with a new built, a 56 Nomad from Revell, ( in fact, that was still the Monogram style box...). I wanted a nice cruiser to hire the trailer with my 56 Gasser on, so here it is, try to stay very" 60ies" in my modifications, so it has Keystone wheels all around with red line tires, a 396ci under the hood. Paint is half spray can, half air brush. The trailer is from MPC, same Keystone wheels. This kit was not easy to foil but I'm quite happy of the result. Hope You'll like it !!!
GMCMAN52 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 You got the right look with both cars......nice
72 Charger Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Sweet set up . Nice work all round . I love the blue glass.
peekay Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Great looking combo! Specially like the colours on the Nomad and the foil is excellent.
Crazy Ed Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Of the Chevy Tri-Fives the '56 is my personal favorite and those are among the better I've seen.
DeeCee Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 A very tidy build mate, looks great with the sedan and trailer on the back. I hear ya on the foil, i finished one a couple of weeks ago.
Snake45 Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Fabulous! Great color combo and great finish--on both. I'd be proud to have either or both of these on my own shelf.Where did you get the Keystone wheels?
'70 Grande Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Great looking combo; they both look very "era-correct". Your paint and foil work are excellent too! Looks to me like if the sedan dropped a valve on its 1st run of the day, those rear slicks could be loaded onto that Nomad and it could win a few runs down the 1320 on its own!
mangodart Posted October 14, 2015 Author Posted October 14, 2015 Thanks again for the nice comments, the Keystone wheels are from my parts box, but I think they're from an old MPC kit
outlaw035 Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 very nice great tow car combo for the gasser....
