Richard Bartrop Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) This is the 1/32 Pyro Kit, and is definitely one of their better offerings. I did replace the kit's black vinyl tires with a set cast in white RTV. Edited December 13, 2015 by Richard Bartrop
sjordan2 Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Those1/32 Pyro classics can be surprisingly good. They made a very nice 1/32 Bugatti T59.
Eric Macleod Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Excellent. I like the choice of color on this one. Let's see more.
Jurva Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Seems like 1/32 Smer kit, but with engine. I'm building one too, with 1/32 Hispano-Suiza engine from Roden.
Richard Bartrop Posted November 20, 2015 Author Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) I added some reflectors to the headlights using the domes from a pair of wiggly doll eyes and some BMF. The dash was done in flat brown with some grain added with a coloured pencil, followed by a coat of clear orange, with some gold BMF for the instruments. Edited November 20, 2015 by Richard Bartrop
Richard Bartrop Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 (edited) The acetylene tank was missing from the kit, so I scratched up a new one. I also made a new taillight that looked more like the one on the real car. I rubbed a little powdered charcoal into the tread of the tires to simulate road grime. I think I'm calling this on done. Eric Macleod Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Excellent building, especially in this scale. I wish it was mine÷
charlie8575 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I've got all of their brass cars. I might build them next year as a mega-project of sorts. Looks good.Charlie Larkin

unclescott58 Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Wow! Very nice job Richard. Contrary to rumors, as we can see be your build, those old Pyro kits are not bad kits at all. Scott
misterNNL Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Great job on this smaller scale classic. Thanks for sharing.
