Dann Tier Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 This is an exact replica of my real car before it went into the paint shop.
Dann Tier Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 thnx -I miss it -it sounded great too!
donb Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 It's got the right look. I agree. Can almost hear it running.
Custom Mike Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Gorgeous replica Dann! What did you use for the radiator hose clamp? That looks like the real thing!
Dann Tier Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 thnx guys! first off, the hose clamps are taken from the straps of MCG photo-etch set with a tiny length of hobby wire glued to it, and topped off with a photo-etch screw head on it from MCG. The grille was scratch-built with layers of sheet styrene. Thanks for the interest, hope this helps!
426-Hemi Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Nicely done under the hood! Great looking model!
NYNS Franky Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Very nice Dann! The stance is just right and so is the overall look. What did you use for the base of the antenna, and where did the wheels come from?
Cardz Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Great work. Especially like the engine bay treatment!
W-409 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Very nice! Also I'm glad to see a '70 Duster rather than '71 that is not as good looking car as this. That stance together with your wheel and tire combo and Primer paint job make it look a bit different and very cool. I like it.
kruleworld Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Looks good. a lot of nice detail in there too.
Dann Tier Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 Thanks so much, guys! Sorry, I cant remember what I used for the base of the antenna. I do know that it was a "washer" looking photo etch part from DM, and the rest of it was a piece of sparkplug boot painted chrome silver. the wheels are either from Hoppin Hydros, or Pegasis. Sorry I cant remember, it was built in 1998. Some time, I will build another one to look like it does today.
