samdiego Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 (edited) I thought that was where you got your cutlass detailed or permed or trimmed or whatever Edited July 7, 2008 by samdiego
CAL Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Not a Salon, but yars getting close! wasn't there a Brougham? The only thing I can find for that gen Cutlass is Cutlass and Cutlass Supreme.

JAFFA Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 It's a Cutlass Coupe Would it seem that is a European extension or something?

lordairgtar Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I knew it was one of the 12's and I knew it after I went through my computer pictures. NEXT French Ford?
lordairgtar Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Yeah, just like theese: In 1976, the Cutlass was broken down in these models,Cutlass S, Cutlass Supreme, Cutlass Supreme Cruiser, Cutlass Vista Cruiser,Cutlass Supreme Brougham, and Cutlass Salon. Coupes weren't mentioned in the actual name but were the formal style roof line that you show. Cutlass S models had the sloped grille and included the 442, The rest had stand up vertical grilles. Hardtops were of the sloped or semi-fastback style. 1977 models were the same names. In 78, the body was downsized
Nick F40 Posted July 8, 2008 Author Posted July 8, 2008 (edited) French Ford? not a Ford but oui oui! I guess you could say that. Edited July 8, 2008 by Nick F40

lordairgtar Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I can only think of three others Amilcar Chenard & Walcker Renault Vivaquarte
Nick F40 Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 not quite, this company was with another company so to say.
Modelmartin Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 There weren't that many French car companies in the thirties. Citroen? There were many, many companies at that time. Aside from the big French 3 of Citroen, Peugeot, and Renault you had Talbot, Delage, Delahaye, Bugatti, Panhard(one of the oldest), French Fords and dozens of very small specialty builders like Hispano-Suiza, Rosengart, and on and on. I am just doing this from memory so it is quite incomplete. Most auto manufacturing nations had a similar variety of makes. Andy
lordairgtar Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Right Andy, I am just befuddled by the car posted because of the side view pic. I wish I had a front view. You are correct in the cars you named but also Matford (another Ford), SIMCA, The earlier ones I named and many more. But I'm going to take another stab at it......Hotchkiss!
