Well you could be right about the T-1000, it is a Toyotie, but I don't think that is one.

T-1000? Wasn't that a Pontiac clone of the Chevette?

I thought the T-1000 was that second generation of Terminator, although it did have an advanced run-flat technology, it didn't have wheels so it's not usually included in car categories

It was indeed the Pontiac equivalent of a Chevette.

I obscured the nameplate on the steering wheel...otherwise this immaculate interior is untouched. Seen this past Sunday.

I don't know what it is but, I can tell you it is a diesel. It also looks very European from the early 70s. (I wanna say French....)

How close am i?

That 1-spoke steering wheel sure reminds you of an old Citroen...

How about a late 70s Citroen CX?

Close enough for gummint work. Top of the line 1976 Citroen CX Pallas 2200, not sure if it was diesel or not; "Pallas" was the lettering I removed from the emblem. The car was immaculate, especially inside. It's held up very well, especially for a '70's era Euro car. This is the car that succeeded the revolutionary Citroen DS, aka la déesse "the goddess". I believe they chose the CX name for it's aerodynamic "coeffiecient of drag" reference. Citroens could be considered like an early Lexus; they rode like a cloud, were nearly silent going down the road, and were supremely comfortable. Family friends drove a '72 DS, and I always loved riding in that weird car that looked like a cockroach on wheels!

I was mistaken about the diesel.... I thought I saw a glow plug light in the instrument cluster. Your other pic shows no such light!

Well George, it is a Tacoma, and the T1000 wasn't even made by Toyota ;) the T100 was replaced by the Tundra ;)

How close am i?

I don't know

So Airflowish, but it looks like it has a Plymouth Hood ornament. I'd say a Toyota AA from 1936. They were large 6 bangers, 3 1/2litre or thereabouts. Or is it the replica that Toyota did for an anniversary in the late 80's (actually it has to be). I don't know what they did for a motor in the replica, I'll guess the rotisserie drive from a charmglow.
