lordairgtar Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Well you could be right about the T-1000, it is a Toyotie, but I don't think that is one. T-1000? Wasn't that a Pontiac clone of the Chevette?
lordairgtar Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Borgward Isabella, East German car. Anyone ever gonna tell me if'n I was right?
samdiego Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 (edited) I thought the T-1000 was that second generation of Terminator, although it did have an advanced run-flat technology, it didn't have wheels so it's not usually included in car categories Edited May 27, 2008 by samdiego

Guest zebm1 Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Well the dark convertable ... looks like the Bentley wings of a Bentley S series convertable. Purdy Close Cal......it's a ...... 1955 Bentley S1 Continental Park Ward Drophead Coupe Now Whot iz tha wee little white car?
dub Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Now Whot iz tha wee little white car? I think it looks a lot like an Aston Martin........
Zoom Zoom Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Okay, can anyone guess the make/model/approximate date of mfg. from this interior photo? I obscured the nameplate on the steering wheel...otherwise this immaculate interior is untouched. Seen this past Sunday.
dub Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 (edited) I don't know what it is but, I can tell you it is a diesel. It also looks very European from the early 70s. (I wanna say French....) How close am i? Edited May 28, 2008 by dub
Olle F Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 It also looks very European from the early 70s. (I wanna say French....) That 1-spoke steering wheel sure reminds you of an old Citroen...
george 53 Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Yeah Ollie,I was thinkin the same thing,It was kinda like their trademark. But ol Bob may have somthin up his sleeve.
Zoom Zoom Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Dub/Olle...you are close...you have the era, nationality and make...how 'bout the model? (the exact model is a bit tough to decipher)
Zoom Zoom Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 How about a late 70s Citroen CX? Close enough for gummint work. Top of the line 1976 Citroen CX Pallas 2200, not sure if it was diesel or not; "Pallas" was the lettering I removed from the emblem. The car was immaculate, especially inside. It's held up very well, especially for a '70's era Euro car. This is the car that succeeded the revolutionary Citroen DS, aka la déesse "the goddess". I believe they chose the CX name for it's aerodynamic "coeffiecient of drag" reference. Citroens could be considered like an early Lexus; they rode like a cloud, were nearly silent going down the road, and were supremely comfortable. Family friends drove a '72 DS, and I always loved riding in that weird car that looked like a cockroach on wheels!
dub Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I was mistaken about the diesel.... I thought I saw a glow plug light in the instrument cluster. Your other pic shows no such light!
Nick F40 Posted May 28, 2008 Author Posted May 28, 2008 Well George, it is a Tacoma, and the T1000 wasn't even made by Toyota the T100 was replaced by the Tundra How close am i? I don't know Top of the line 1976 Citroen CX Pallas 2200, not sure if it was diesel or not; "Pallas" was the lettering I removed from the emblem. REAL top of the line, diesel or not! This is ugly but cool, I'd drive it! try dis one, you know the works, and with right spelling if you really want to impress me, tell me the engine
samdiego Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 (edited) So Airflowish, but it looks like it has a Plymouth Hood ornament. I'd say a Toyota AA from 1936. They were large 6 bangers, 3 1/2litre or thereabouts. Or is it the replica that Toyota did for an anniversary in the late 80's (actually it has to be). I don't know what they did for a motor in the replica, I'll guess the rotisserie drive from a charmglow. Edited May 28, 2008 by samdiego
