MyBradKeselowski Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 After seeing everybody else's Moebius 69 F100 I finally got my chance to buy one and build it. I loved building this kit it's very well detailed and when well built and detailed it is extremely a beautiful counterpart to its 1:1. I strictly built it as a bone stock Ford parts delivery truck, I had thought about adding Pegasus wheels/tires but I decided to just go with the factory steelies that came in the kit after I seen how they looked on the truck. I did have a little problem with the decal for the tailgate as you will see in the pic, I don't understand what happened to it as I used my setting solution to put it on with. It looks like to me when I added the clearcoat that might have messed it up. Oh well it's not going to be a show stopper so I'll live with it. I really like how the Ford come out looking after being a month build. Hope you do to and thanks for the comments/positives/negatives... Now on to the 71 Ranger XLT... LOL !!!
wayne swayze Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Nice! I have to look for one of these as 2 of the hobby shops don't have any on the shelf . Like that you went with the steelies.
Darbo Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Great build, I like the steelie wheel look too!
MyBradKeselowski Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 Thanks guys for the comments. I'm glad I went with the steelies I do like it better.
towman1271 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Love the simple look...Fits your part runner idea

AZ Boy Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Very nicely done, Steve. So many different ways to build this kit makes it great.

Dominik Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 well done - very nice!have you painted the body or is it only clearcoat?
Tom Geiger Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Very nice build. Simple but well done, I love the six in this kit. There were a lot of six cylinder cars in life and model companies seldom portrayed them. Everyone knows why there's a Burket Ford dealer?
MyBradKeselowski Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 well done - very nice!have you painted the body or is it only clearcoat?Dominik, I was going to paint it in one of the factory colors that is listed on the instructions but could not decide on a color. One of the factory colors listed was Pebble Beige and after really comparing that color with the molded color it seemed to me to be almost a direct match so I just clearcoated it after I applied the BMF and decals.

I think the guy that owns Model King his name is Burkett and those are his decals that he made for the kit so that's why it says Burkett Ford. This is what I have been told so please somebody clarify this if I'm wrong.

Check Model King's race cars and there are names of friends and folks who helped him bring the kits to market. The name thing also happened at different companies, going back to Revell in the 1960s!
