Me too.

Big fan of the Mach 5.

Worlds fastest car.

I've found a Actual 1:1 kit car of it (about $65k to build)

and an article in a R&T mag (Evil Twins, April 08)about the Movie car.

Grew up watching it..

I'm looking forward to the movie as well...Probably one that I will actually go to the theatre to see. (I do that VERY rarely). That's the only Anime I will even CONSIDER watching. I remember that used to be on MTV, of all places, back in the 1990s...

Have you seen some of the toys they are soliciting for the movie? Some of it looks pretty wild-I won't blow anything but it sure looks crazy...

With Polar Lights reissuing both versions of the kits, it'll give people like me the opportunity to build the kit-or build it again (like me!)

I would not be surprised if some aftermarket company made whatever was needed to convert the PL kit to the movie car..

I actually watched that and The Centurians on Cartoon Network, back when the cartoons were cartoons and not the ###### thats on it today.

This I definitely want to see! I can still remember the first day the cartoon came on here on WPHL Channel 17 in the fall of 1968. When I went to school the next day, everyone was talking about it! Boys and girls alike!

I scratchbuilt a Mach 5 years ago in the early '90's-----I'll see if I can dig up pics of it later.

Anyone else see a more than passing resemblance to the now released '58 Ferrari Testarossa??.............Hmmmm...... ;)

I don't know, guys....the preview for that movie looks pretty lame, unless you're 8 years old.

Oh yeah, it does look cheesy. But, I was 8 years old once, lived and died for the cartoon and I'll probably pick up a copy of the DVD when they're going for 5 bucks on the discount racks!

Or better yet, I'll see it for free on a plane or hotel room while away on business...

I can see it for a dollar on base, after its been in the theaters a while.

I used to watch Speed Racer when I was a kid. Early 70's none of this MTV Cartoon Network stuff (you guys make me feel old :) ), I've got a couple of the DVD's now for my son. He's almost 8 and he thinks its cool, even the toilet flush sound when the car starts underwater.

Think I'll have to get the Polar Lights kits when they are out again, glue kit for me, snap kit for the kid.

We're not looking for Oscar type performances here, just escapism.

Ok, ok....I'm sorry! please stop beating on me! LOL! And I'll also admit that I liked the Thunderbirds movie a few years ago. I might just go see this one too....and I'll take my 8 year old with me!
