2nd onefinished this year. 50 ford convertible with 65 custom gto roof, 07 mustang drivetrain, decals from 59 elky...has many flaws but I did learn how NOT to attach a roof to another kit....lol, albeit the hard way.hood and trunk reshaped to shorter height. made the taillite bezels n lenses..as with most of my builds the design is way better than the execution...this one is definitely a 15 footer. when using ca kicker it ran onto windshield anf fogged it pretty bad but I'm not gonna take it apart to fix...on to the next one. bty feel free to critique the design. u can point out execution flaws if u like but I'm aware that there r more than a few. thanks

The toughest part of building is being able to see and criticize your own work.

That roof would look sleeker if about 3 or 4" was sectioned out of the body .. just above the front wheel wells. ))

I would have suggested the same as Foxer...

removing a vertical chunk from the back edge of the door to the front of the C-pillar would have reduced the huge slab of white issue.

there are some nice elements to this build though...

keep slicing and dicing.

I did consider sectioning body but I liked the slab look in this case...lol. as this was first 50's custom I wanted to do something different.may build a sectioned version or one with severe chop. my tastes never parallel popular design, ie I cant stand the last 4 or 5 "foose" customs but love full custom garage...go figure

I like your design, Jeff! The top and proportions look good to me. I threw together a 50 Ford convert from an old body and parts box stuff a while back. I have that GTO roof, but never thought of using it. Great idea!
