wayne swayze Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 That looks really nice! Great choices on colour, wheels/tires and interior!
Greg Pugh Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 That's sharp! Nice job!! What did you think of the kit?
tbill Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 thanks guys, will have better pic's soon, finished it up for a show tomorrow. Greg, it's the second one i have built, and have a third in the works, i like the kit overall. only things i don't like is the front bumper fit, and the kit tires and wheels are horrible. here is the first one i did, next one is metallic teal,
Snake45 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Very nice! I like the color--not far off Aztec Bronze. Rally Wheels look good on '66 Chevelles, even if they didn't appear until the next year. Very common combo.
tbill Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 thanks. ya, the rally wheels were a 67 thing [and the ones i used have the tall caps to boot], but those wheels look good on any chevy.
RiskiestLion Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 did that car come stock with the rally's ?
Snake45 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 did that car come stock with the rally's ?As discussed, no. And they weren't "stock" (standard) on any '67 Chevelle either, except possibly if disk brakes were ordered. They were optional from '67 on.

High octane Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Very nice build Tom, as the '66 is my "favorite" year Chevelle. Who knows when I'll get around to building my Lindberg kit?
MAGIC MUFFLER Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 It's beautiful!!!!! Brings back memories for me because when I turned 16 and was able to drive, my car was a '66 Chevelle in red/burgundy color.
Cardz Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 great looking 66,love this year of Chevelles!
mikemopar70 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Very nice Chevelle, i like the look with rallye wheels..
mod3l Lover Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Very nice '66 Chevelle there! I have to geta couple of those kits. I owned a '66 when I was stationed at CampPendleton, CA. It had a 402 BB in it out of alater model Chevy. I never saw paint on itthough. Primered the whole time I owned it! I love all your Chevelles, nice work. Build on, David S.
IceMan Collections Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 That looks great bud. Glad to see you're still building.
tbill Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 thanks all. i have one more of these in the stash, collecting parts to build a replica of the 1:1 66 i used to have. also have a 66 wagon and elco in the works. Joel, been building, just not on-line much, but winter is coming.....
