JollySipper
I need some recommendations for a good music streaming site. Rdio.com is shutting down their site soon...... The thing I liked about them is the fact that I could choose an album and listen to the whole thing if I wanted. I would like to find something similar to that........... They were bought out by Pandora, which I dislike, because they let you listen to one song, then try to "recommend" new music similar to what you were listening to......... What's Rhapsody like? Thanks for any help..........!!
Petetrucker07
I'm not much help on streaming. I have satellite and love it. But I've heard people like Spotify and Rhaspsody.

MrObsessive
I have iTunes on my PC.........all types of genre for music and whatnot, it's also free. I had Rhapsody (don't know about Spotify), and Rhapsody was starting to charge to stream their music, whereas before it was free.
Nitro Neil
Rhapsody is good, had it for years. I liked their system that recommended other music I might like based on what I was listening to. It turned me on to a lot of stuff I had never heard before.Spotify is also good. Tom Geiger
I find interesting stuff on YouTube. I've played entire albums, and recently watched / listened to a 2 hr Counting Crows concert. I also like cover songs posted by small bands and individuals. There is one guy who sits on his couch and expertly strums old obscure Harry Chapin songs. I really enjoy those! JollySipper
Thanks for the helpful replies, guys.........! I've opened an account with Rhapsody, it's a dollar for the first 3 months, and I can always cancel my subscription if I don't like it.......Thanks again, and Happy ThanksGiving! Ace-Garageguy
If you prefer a slightly more offbeat and eclectic selection of streaming music, I'd recommend Soma FM. Multiple genres, free, listener-supported (voluntarily...if you like it, send money). https://somafm.com/ You can, of course, stream SiriusXM to your computer also...lots of available genres and a custom mix option too (though I don't like the merged product as much as I liked the old XM). Can-Con
I've been using "live 365" for years. They have over 5 thousand stations so you probably could find one you like. Most of them are free too.http://www.live365.com/
Petetrucker07
There is also a new, released Jan of this year, Pono Music. It was developed by Neil Young. I've heard mixed reviews. I never attempted messing with it. But just another option to look in to.
JollySipper
Thanks for the links and recommendations, guys.......... Clayton, it's funny you mention Neil Young developing a music service, earlier this year he pulled all his songs from Rdio.com....... now I guess I know why...!
