Done yet? Come on now, chop chop. Times a wastin.

How about I send you my convertible and you send it back to me done as nice as this one . All just because your such a nice guy.

No rush take your time if you want to think about it . I doubt I'll get to it this year ( or next for that matter )

Steve,  Your work is incredible. How do you do your wires on the fire wall? Hand painted, or , Sharpie maybe?

Just a brush & paint Gene.

& you might be surprised to see the size of the brush I use! :P

I've never had good luck with those little "one bristle wonders".

I just can't seem to get the paint to flow, or to flow where I want it to.

I always wind up with a mess with a small brush.

A larger brush will hold more paint so you don't have to start & stop all of the time.

Thanks Bill!

Well, I am getting closer, but it will have to wait for another week while I'm on vacation.

I'm shooting for finishing it yet this month......but you never can tell.

Just another progress report.

Engine is done!

I feel like I should be getting close on this one, but then I think of all I have left to do!

Oh well, I'm really hoping to finish up this weekend........or next.

Great motor!!! Love the detail. The drape of the plug wires look very real. Whose wire do you use?

Thanks Roger!

Since I recently got a bunch of pre-wired distributors in a trade from Kris Morgan, this is the first build I've used one on.

Beautiful stuff!

I'm sold!

Ever feel like you've spent entirely too much time on one build?

Well, after nearly 3 months, the '65 Monaco is finished!

You only get one teaser shot of it "going away" at the moment.

I'll get set up & get some photos for "Under Glass" later on tonight.

Thanks to all of you who enthusiastically followed me throughout this long endeavor! :P

You mean like 35 years?

So nice to see that car finished. (It gives me hope.) Did you have any trouble fitting the chrome insert in the taillight lens? I have an original plus a Modelhaus replacement and they both curve slightly; they fit the lens better upside down!

No Chris, I really had no issues with the insert,

It seemed to be bowed out very slightly in the middle, but I just put a little weight on it as the glue dried & it came out fine.

For a 50 year old kit, it actually went together pretty well.

Very minor fit issues with the front bumper, but my kit had a little warpage going on in the front end, so it was expected.

Pics will be in "Under Glass" within the half hour.
