  1. Where can I get some of the Liquid Blue paint?

  2. Very, very nice work. The detail work is awesome. I have one of these in que , so thanks for the ref. material.
  3. It looks like I'm a few years too late in finding this tutorial. I've shied away from something as technical as this in the past but I plan to give it a try. I didn't read it completely through yet because I saw it was from 2013 but I'm going to go back through it and see what I can do. I can only hope that there may be others who have dealt with this topic before that can lead me to new information or techniques that would help in my quest to learn how to do this. Thank you for the original post.
  4. Thanks for your tutorial. I have been wanting to learn how to do this for a very long time now.
  5. This is a really great build. It is on my "list" of builds to do.
  6. Great model. Where did you get it?
  7. I'm watin' for the engine. Ohh yeah
  8. Very nice Bill. I'm really looking forward to all the mods you plan to incorporate into this build. The quality of your new videos are a great improvement over the beginning vid's. Thanks for all you do.
  9. Thank you for your build and tribute to your mom. I applaud your fight and courage. Keep fighting brother and stay strong. I too am a cancer survivor so I know your struggles both physically and mentally. However mine was colon cancer. Not to hijack your thread but I want to encourage everyone over 50 to get a colon cancer screening. You may not know it until it's too late and it can kill you. Please get tested y'all.
  10. Wow Bill! Thank you for the links. Looks like I'll be watching your vid's all week!
  11. I can hardly wait to see how you do this. I never imagined working Windows were possible in a model.
  12. Wow great build. I'm working on the same build.
  13. You guys always impress me with your amazing work. Yes Bill, Crazy Richard and now you David. I'm newly getting back into this and I'm so impressed by your work. I'm so inspired that one day, I may be brave enough to post a build here.
  14. Wow that's amazing Nie. Great work.
  15. I think it's a cool idea mixing the train with the road course. Keep posting updates.
  16. I would love to place a model body on a slot chassis. I don't have the room for a slot track yet but I'm planning a move and will hopefully build a 1/32 car for that.
  17. That's some great detail on the engine bay.
  18. Once again your work is outstanding Richard! I'm sure you enjoyed building it as much as we did watching. It is fantastic.
  19. Thanks guys. I have wondered about the ceiling fan. I'll try the thinner trick, I have a new bottle of that. It gets above 100 here. So I can only get the house down to the high 70's. Even now at 5:30 it's 98 outside with 15% humidity. Great for spray painting outside but not good for painting inside I suppose. Anyway, thank you all very much for your input. And Bill, I'm hoping that all goes well with your eyes.
  20. I am having a problem with Tamiya bottle paint X-1 Black Acrylic drying out (I think). I am new to Tamiya paint and modeling, I live in an arid climate and I'm wondering if this is contributing. I can open the bottle and after using it a few minutes, it starts to glob on my brush or toothpick. After a little while longer, I can see the toothpick not even penetrating the surface layer. I then have to stir it and remove the glob to continue. I bought this paint earlier this year so it's not that old. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it the paint or the arid climate? Thanks
  21. I first started using HL after I learned on this forum that you could use coupons to buy stuff. Having returned to the hobby after a 40+ year absense, I thought it was a great idea. Pegasus is a little over an hour away and they are real expensive to me. I like being able to go in, look at my options, look in detail at the products and decide what to buy. The Internet is convenient but also like I've read on here, supporting your local hobby shop is a good thing. There is a Hobby People, two towns over but I don't really like their selections. HL, while also having a small selection, also offers other items like airbrushes (which I've yet to buy), paint, Evergreen plastics, and even bead wire for the extra touches. I've never noticed religious music nor knew they were Christian owned until I read it here. i guess my point is, so what if they are Christian owned. There is only one reason I can think of for hating them for that. Just my opinion.
  22. I love the flames. Were they decals or did you paint them?
  23. Very nice indeed. You did a great job on it.
