Jim B Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Really nice work, but I didn't think the Bullnose KW actually tilted. I thought it was more like the Cannonball GMC.
Superpeterbilt Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Terry great work on designing your cab hinge. Thanks Dan!I agree with dan, that's some very nice fab work right there !Thanks Gino!Terry - that is some really skillful work on this old Bullnose. I like the cutout over the turbo , add a vent and it would be a good heat source here in Montana! The tilt is top notch all the way! Thanks Sean, I really wasnt sure about the turbo box at first but it grew on me.Nice job on fabricating the tilt hinge Terry. This is looking awesome!RobThanks Rob!I'm not a KW man, but this is looking ace. Ben Thanks Ben!The tub mods look terrific along with the cab hinge! Thanks Dennis!lookin great ;-))Thanks Ken! Im trying to give you some competition for that 352 with the king size bed. Yup I agree completely ! Be Well GatorThanks Gator! You are really doing a number on this one! Excellent Work!! Now the mechanic can actually get to the engine. Thanks Brian! Superpeterbilt Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Really nice work, but I didn't think the Bullnose KW actually tilted. I thought it was more like the Cannonball GMC. Jim your right, they didnt tilt. Some were converted later on, and I explained in an earlier post that this truck will represent a resto-mod that would have been done around the 70's. Thats my explanation for using so many W900 parts?. I neede it to tilt because of motor detail. Otherwise it would have been next to impossible to display the engine. I have two other Bullnoses that will be built by the book, I promise. Photos by William McCullough
cowboy rich Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I wasn't sure about the tilt myself but no matter what it is one cool build, and with your detail ability I definitely understand wanting to see it!Rich
tbill Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 looking fantastic! this is going to be a beauty when you're done
Superpeterbilt Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 Thanks Rich and Tom. Small update. I continued working on the cab hinge, specifically the frame. Im trying to make a convincing factory piece on something that didnt have a factory tilt. Hopefully this looks believable.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Very nice detail work Terry! You are truly a craftsman!

Tesla Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Nice work Terry and it's very convincing! I'm sure the factory would have made something just like this.
